Trupp is the best player of the homestand, by far.
-
Wonder if that's the about the non call on the breakaway takedown
-
Berger was only successful with Dean's recruits.

Doesn't really fit in on the 4th line, Hak has others he wants on the first 3. I feel bad for the guys that can help the team but are on the outside looking in. Davidson, Cichy, Gleason, Bruno. If it were me, I'd have Marto on the blue line (rotating the 6th spot between the Freshman) and have Cichy play on the third line in Marto's spot. Then I'd at least spot in Davidson and Bruno in on the fourth here and there.

5-2 Sioux. Frattin (2), Trupp, Hexy and Blood.

Nothing like getting off of work to watch the fuel programming instead of the Sioux.

617 on the on-screen guide. Despite other reports as of right now the guide says tomorrow's game will be on 623. But they have the 7:30 start time on it now.

I'm pretty sure that Blais (tDean) absolutely positively doesn't want to be swept on his first trip back. Look for UNO to come out hard.

UND vs. Omaha in Winnipeg - Jan. 7, 2012

Wow, you know Canadian math, eh? -
LaPoint is +8, tied with Gennoway for 2nd in plus Minus for defensemen. Ben Blood leads the team at +16. Plus/Minus is a very good indication of play by a defenseman, especially for a defensive minded defenseman like LaPoint. Notable leaders in plus/minus are the Pony Express line. Trupp 12, Malone and Frattin 11. Brett Hextall and Corban Knight are plus 8. http://www.fightingsioux.com/fls/13500/stats/mhockey/2010-11/teamcume.htm#TEAM.IND

Absolutely. The best prediction of the strength of a team is how well they've done against good teams, not that they beat the Weak Sister of the ECAC*. *I'm sure they are a fine school for English Majors.

Was that his superman goal? Down in Minneapolis.

Going to have to work on my Canadian disguise. Hows it going eh? -
I agree and I'll also note that most of the concerns we talk about during the year have worked themselves out by the day that the PWR actually counts. The PWR sucks because it makes no sense on how they pick their criteria, but it does work reasonably well.
-
No but if they can change halfway through the season you could wonder who [is] out that the committee wants in? It shouldn't affect our team. If we fall so far in the remaining months that we are on the bubble we don't deserve to make the tournament. But I'd hate to be a team on the bubble that gets kicked out because of a mid season rule change?

Trupp has been awesome this homestand. I can't believe how fearless he is for a guy his size to play along the boards.
-
Well there goes that theory. Still it cuts our deficit in nearly half. Still if an unbiased person were going to pick a head to head matchup who do you think they'd pick?
-
In order to keep their number one ranking those with a vote would have to believe that Brown > Minnesota. * Ok, I can stand being a number two for another week. (*that's a stretch, but it makes the joke work.)
-
Absolutely, even in the pros it's not uncommon for the #8 team to beat a #1 team in the playoffs. Of course during a seven game series they usually don't make it.

Statistics are hard. I got A's in my two classes without learning anything.

Time to nut up or shut up-Tallahassee

The teacher wrote on the blackboard: "I ain't had no fun in months." Then asked the class, "How should I correct this sentence?" Little Johnny raised his had and replied, "Get yourself a new boyfriend."... A priest was talking to a group of kids about "being good" and going to heaven. At the end of his talk, he asked, "Where do you want to go?" "Heaven! Heaven!" Yelled Little Lisa.. "And what do you have to be to get there?" asked the priest. "Dead!" Yelled Little Johnny.

Looks like Mike Prpich has only played half of the games this year. Must be an injury as he's still #5 in scoring and #3 in penalty minutes for his UK team. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/csl.php?tid=4130

And two fewer losses. (And two fewer tires). Maybe Yale is a good team, but there's no way to compare the schedule that we've played and the schedule they've played (34 hardest) and say that they are definitively the better team. Bring on the rematch.
