The Whistler's predictions:
I'm predicting that the teams that play the hardest schedule (like say in the WCHA) are going to eat up the teams that have a nice record in the cupcake leagues.
I don't think I'm going out on a limb on this one.
Well you you could simply cut and past the HTML code and post it onto the board there.
Or you can go here and upload pictures on your computer. All you have to do is past over the link provided.
I heard part of the show. At one point there was a caller talking about the officiating that Minnesota gets at home. He says his buddies claim that they get more penalties at home.
The caller referred to the Mankato series. Then someone asked "who was the referee for that game." Of course it was campion as TH pointed out.
My question is who asked the question. Was it Hakstol? If so I would have thought he would have known the answer to the question.
Yep what matter is that we went from a bubble team to solidly in the national tournament. Screw the polls. You'd think they'd be ahead of the statistical rankings.
I think what happens is that it matters where they are at the end of the year as far as record. Also they have the TUC (Teams under consideration) which is teams with a winning record. So if I understand it right your games against teams with a losing record don't count.
That's why we want the teams we played like Quinnipiac and Dartmouth and St Lawrence to do well and finish with a winning record.
Please let me know if I understand this correctly.
I'd think Ian Kidd would be the proper spelling, but then again who would trust me to speel write? How about that game in Duluth when he started us back from 5 goals down in the third.
Quit psyching us. Nothing's in the bag.
You want to be in the top 3 as #4 plays #5 in the play in game. (I'm sure that was a short lapse of something you're fully aware of.)
Great list, but are you sure about Mark Chorney? I thought he was a six. I'd go Jim Archibald over Zajac for 15, but you can't go wrong with Z. I also would take Mark Taylor over Parise, just for the fact that he played 4 years. Again, not a bad choice at all.
Yeah, it's more about how Bina gives him that solid body check, Murphy #2 did it in a different way. Parent was more of a Gennoway type defenseman if I remember right.
I love how for a smaller guy he can get underneath the other larger guys and stick 'em. He's really the only guy (at least that played for the Sioux) in the last 30 years that I remember being able to do that.
Talk about not getting any respect. I guess since Minnesota is only a #3 now it's not big deal.
You see teams jump 5, 6, or seven spots fairly often. I thought we were in line for that due to the RPI and the fact we have the nations longest unbeaten streak.
Minnesota's still got a great record so I don't see knocking them way down. I can see them at #2 or #3.
