Fighting Sioux "Fan Plan" for Final Five Poster Scam

It's part of the conspiracy man. -
I think once you're in the regional it doesn't matter your seed. After all you have to beat the best to be the best. There's no second place in the regional. Does it matter if you play the #1 seed the first night or the final night? I'd like us to get into #3 in the WCHA tournament because that eliminates you playing Thursday and then playing the fresh #1 seed the next day. The teams lining up to be #4 and #4 right now better hope that Minnesota keeps their lead. That means they at least have 20+ hours to recover before their next game.

I think Mel Gibson is going to make a sequel based on the poster conspiracy theory. I hope they have Captain Picard play Doug Woog. -

They should have known we were going to win it and placed NDSU on the top before we played. As was pointed out the WCHA did what they could to make it right. They gave the replacement posters to the Athletic department with the idea we would hand them out at the regional. The NCAA didn't let us do that so they handed the posters out around town. -
It looks like the game is on Direct TV FSN RM Friday. I didn't see it offered on Saturday. You buy a month $12 I think and cancel it. That might seem like a lot, but it's less than going to a game....

I see Goon has the incident on his blog.
-
Is that why he couldn't win the big one? (Just noting that there's two sides to that coin)
-
I hope that Paukovitch spends the entire game worried he's going to get denutted.

I sure don't blame those guys for getting paid to do what they are doing anyway. When the NHL club offers the right deal the college players have to take it.
-
We should be invited as the first amateur team to compete for Lord Stanley's cup for a long long time. Those NHL teams don't have nothing on us.

As a disclaimer I have to admit to being a referee hacker so take this with a grain of salt. I thought that running the goalie was the key play of the game. The Mankato player ran into him without making an effort to stop. His knee hit Phillipe's head. Immediately after that they scored two quick goals. I think it's likely that Lamoureux was still seeing stars rather than pucks.

Well I think there's only two things to watch. The PWR and the KRACH. You can see where they're at and the trend over time. So the important thing is that we are in general climbing the ranks.
-
Well of course you can't take a team lightly in the playoffs. However your best chances to succeed in the playoffs come when you're playing top flight talent week in and week out. That's why I don't think Notre Dame will survive in the regionals. This is the same story as the Cornell' and the like that come into the tournament highly ranked every year but almost never advance. OK the new regime at Notre Dame has done a great job. My prediction is that they won't go far in the national tournament.

Not sure this helps but the beer guys also sells Mike's Hard Lemonade. Or you could do it the old fashioned way and leave your empty miniatures in the stalls in the bathroom. (Common sight in the old Englestad.)

I don't take 'em seriously. They're #4 in the Krach and in a 3 way tie for 3rd in the PWR. According to the Krach they've had the 32nd easiest schedule of any team out there. We've had the 3rd hardest schedule while Mankato has had the hardest. The only top ten team they've played is Michigan and they're barely in the top ten. I look for them to fold in the regionals the same as the EZAC teams always do. They MIGHT have the talent on the team, but they don't have the experience against the top competition that carries you in the playoffs. That's what has set the WCHA ahead of the other teams in the playoff recently.

Barring injuries I think it's Lamoureux's job until at least next year. I don't see Hakstol changing things up for the rest of the year.

Goon has it up on his blog. Can't we all just get along? Thanks Goon.

Boy those missed points vs Tech and Alaska really hurt don't they. Suppose we won just two of those games? We'd have an easy time ending up in #3.
-
Denver is off this weekend and the Gophers of the Twin Cities are invading Colorado Spring. IF the Sioux and the Gophers sweep we would be tied for 3rd in the WCHA on ahead of CC. This is a huge weekend for us!
-
Um because it will help us a ton in the PWR ranking if Mankato does well?
-
I just got back from the game. I think the key to losing the lead was Phil getting run and kneed in the head. (No call of course). The two goals came quickly after that.
-
Did everyone see him throw a big check against a Dman last night and bounce off? The kids got heart.

At least it was a Friday night fight that's going to hurt our opponent tonight more as well as hurt us. Good thinking guys!
