No, words have meaning. An argument is fallacious whether the person making that argument understands the meaning of the words he chose or not. The word "finest" is pretty well understood, especially in terms of educational institutions. There is pretty wide-spread agreement about what schools are considered "fine" institutions. That's why we need you to provide a list of the "fine" shools you consider to prove your assertion. WIthout it, we have no way of evaluating what you mean.

No, Dave that's not how it works. The burden of proof always lies with the person asserting a claim. Otherwise you're commiting the fallacy of "argument from ignorance."

The Stadium will be there 365 days a year, but the Vikings and their fans can only use it 12 times a year at most. The other 353 days, the state will be able to hold whatever events they want in the stadium. It would be grossly unfair to expect Viking fans to pay for the whole cost of the stadium, since they do not share in all the benefits.

This has been discussed before. All schools in SC are punished because they display the SC flag on campus. Just as NDSU would be punished if it displayed UND's logo at the Fargo Dome.

C'mon, there's no proof that anyone, other than a few BV posters, actually have or ever will try to use the referendum to "punish" UND. In any case, the ballot box is sacred. You have no right to criticize any citizen for exercising their constitutional right to vote.

The question isn't "could the NCAA expand sanctions to include all ND members?", it's "why would they?" Punishing NDSU, Minot State, and UMary would benefit no one, with the possible exception of UND.

C'mon man! So what? You saw a Sioux logo on the Vegas strip. The fans of any team can tell isolated stories about see a few people wearing their team's gear here and there. I happened to see a whole family wearing Bison gear at the Texas state fair this year - big deal. The only reason it's memorable is that it's rare. Honestly, unless one of their sports teams happen to be playing in town, both Sioux and Bison gear are very rare outside of the upper midwest.

I live in Dallas. Funny, I never see any Sioux gear anywhere in town. Did see a lot of people wearing Bison gear last January...
