  1. I fly to NYC frequently. Newark is a train ride away,, around $12.50. You can come in from JFK via the Airtrain & Subway for $7.50 on the E train. To come in from LGA on public transportation you'll have to take a combination of buses and the subway, or a cab for about $35. I'd choose Newark or JFK, depending on the airfare.
  2. Yes, for several years I managed a remote office there.
  3. Denver is basically Sioux Falls with a mountainous background. (Sorry, Sioux Falls)
  4. As a former English major at UND, I'm appalled this article got past the editor. Horrible grammar,,, shoddy work for a paper representative of the student body.
  5. It's interesting to watch the board today.. I've been a fan since the (depressing) Rube Bjorkman days. With every announcement of a new coach came the whining and consternation about the next coach,, and yet every coach has stepped in and done a brilliant job. Have faith. Berry got the job for a reason.
  6. I like Warhawks,, but have always liked the Wheatkings name from Brandon
  7. I get booted from the feed about every two to three minutes.. have to log in again.
  8. I keep getting bounced and have to sign in again.. anyone else seeing this? Anyone have an answer?
  9. If you stay in Covington, try the bourbon barrel beer, but be careful. It is delicious but it will sneak up on you.
  10. My IOS feed doesn't work either, and the UND sports feed is in and out. On top of that, after you get back on you have to endure the commercial you didn't want to see the first time. For a pay site this is simply unacceptable.
  11. Kober knows hockey - he just needs to go back and take English 101. His grammar and word usage is embarrassing to the university. Lat night's gem -- "ascared" Re: the song.. any reason we need one?
  12. The Denver dasher dancer disappears.
  13. I had the same problem with sound.. had to go from Google Chrome to internett explorer and everything is okay
  14. Unless I missed it, I've not seen anyone post anything about the number of hits delivered by each team - at one point during the game they flashed it on the TV screen and it HEAVILY favored the Sioux. I have to believe that it was a factor. There's a good argument to be made that the Sioux wore them down.
  15. Frank has always been an idiot. He's tortured us with his broadcasts for years - the Gopher-nation set the bar pretty low when they hooked Bert and Ernie up the first time, but to do it twice??
  16. Best wishes to Tim for a speedy recovery.
  17. I'm sorry, but watching FSN tonight, I'm totally distracted by Gorg. Anyone want to start a pool on when the pressure on buttons on his suit jacket will send them flying at the camera? I'm wondering how he even got that thing buttoned. He looks like he's in a sausage casing.
  18. For whatever it's worth, you might also try www.kayak.com I use it frequently for business flying - not always the cheap cheap flights, but it gives you a wide variety of times and airlines.
  19. I just got home from the game.. I thought Shepherd was the number one star. Once again, he inserted himself into the center of what might have been a good flowing hockey game.
  20. I think there's a fundamental misunderstanding here. No one is saying Hagemo shouldn't be accountable for his actions, but from everything that I've read (and there hasn't been much available) this kid isn't a hardened criminal. For most people, the humiliation of having the story of your arrest and your picture in the paper is a pretty good "slap in the face". We know precious little about what's transpired in the last few months of his life, and frankly it's between Nate and his family (and now the court system) to work it out. I still wish him the best.
  21. Well said. Life is about second chances and redemption. Here's hoping Nate is surrounded by supportive, non-judgmental family, friends and former team mates. Looking backward serves no constructive purpose - he has a long and hopefully very productive life ahead of him. Good luck, Nate.
