Do you have a video of Spirko's goal? How could I get a hold of that?
-
Yeeees! One good thing about living in Idaho I guess....FSN Rocky Mountain. I get to watch Denver get crushed! Keep it up Bulldogs!!!! I have to miss the play in game on Thursday, and it will be so much easier to miss if the Sioux aren't playing in it.

A sprain happens when you put strain on a joint and stretch a ligament, which connects your bones, and results in swelling, hemorrhaging, etc. The MCL is one of 4 major ligaments that connects your lower leg to your upper leg and keeps your kneecap in place.

Thanks for the condolences. Diggin, I emailed you some email addresses of former players that I thought you may not have. I see Chartreuse has posted on this thread. I thought he was one player you should contact, seeing as how he is responsible for 75% of SS.com goals. As far as limiting the numbers, I think that's ridiculous. A.) Inevitably someone is not going to show up, B.) the SS.com team is obviously the underdog . . . they are lucky if they've met their linemates before, and C.) this is supposed to be for fun. But that's my opinion, I'm not playing. No offense bertibm, but I think you need to lighten up. Like squirt coach said, there were 2 high school kids on the team last year, not "a bunch," and they played just fine. And what do you know, they're hockey fans! Ease up. It's a friendly game, even if it's between two teams of people who hate each other by nature.

Alas, my pro contract has fallen through. Sorry, I've had a rough couple of months between my grandmother's funeral, my mom's heart attack, and my deciding to quit my job and move out of Mormanville. I booked my flight late last week for the Final Five and remembered about the SS.com/POI.com game, apparently a little too late. Thanks for taking over diggin! My flight doesn't leave Minneapolis until 9:30pm on Sunday, so I'll be coming to watch as always. Let me know if you need help getting a hold of anyone. I've saved email addresses from everyone who has played the last 3 years.

I actually thought it was a good thing. I was at the games this weekend, and Jordan was obviously not happy with himself for letting in 4 3rd period goals and did what he thought was best for the team. That's what it looked like to me anyway. Side note. I couldn't believe how many empty seats there were at this "sold out" series. Disappointing, since I thought it would a pretty big series. And as much as I hate the Gophers, I can say that I at least respect their knowledgeable fan base unlike some of the fans that went out of their way to say idiotic things to me in Denver. One guy made the mistake of starting a conversation with me Saturday night with "You must be pretty embarassed to be wearing a Sioux jersey right now." I went on to tell him exactly why I was not embarassed to be wearing it, along with a few other select words, and he eventually moved down a couple seats to get away from me. I had had a few drinks. I travel to games to see good hockey and have fun, not to listen to morons who don't know how to handle a win or a loss.

Thanks. I called Jamie and all I got was that I am supposed to contact dataflix (which I have 3 times with no response). He said that he is trying to get a hold of them, that dataflix will work by the next hockey game, and that we will get refunds.
-
Dataflix is a waste of money. I just better get a refund for this nonservice.

I bought today's game too and am not receiving a signal. It's very frustrating. And of course, no one is returning my emails on how to troubleshoot. I don't mind just listening to Hennessey on the radio, but the sound is bad.

I haven't read through all of this, but looking at some posts it looks like a lot of you that got dishes through Psb are in Minnesota. How do I go about getting one in Idaho so I can catch the Sioux games? Thanks!
-
Sweet, there's hope for me yet. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to see any hockey living in Idaho Falls after graduation, but it looks like it will only be a 2 1/2 hour drive to see the Grizzlies on days when I'm desperate for some live action.

There is an article about Parise that was written after the BU game. But the chat will be with Genoway. Is there a way to read it afterwards? I'll be in class when he's on.

Who f'ing cares? It's still funny.

As much as it sucks, sometimes you just can't justify missing things for a hockey game. I know I technically have the choice to skip Frank Low Day at the med school on Thursday, where we have to present our scholarly projects for grad school. But it's expected of us to go, and it wouldn't be fair to dump my project on my advisor who would love to go to Columbus as much as I would. Instead I have to drive to Columbus with a friend on Friday and watch the Sioux win #8.
-
Something to do with the new universal sign for choking that PCM posted on another thread would be funny.
-
Forecheck + 1-2 friends for Saturday night if the Sioux are in the championship game. Have to work around grad school, unfortunately. Hotel: Wherever we can find a place to crash. We just may be sleeping on a bar stool somewhere.
-
Come on now, you're making me blush. Actually I can't take credit. My advisor sent it to me, courtesy of her husband. I'm not sure who actually created it. I just thought it was funny, and forwarded to PCM hoping he would know how to post a PDF file.

Someone did talk about Murray being out for the season, but I think it was Jerry York when they showed his interview about North Dakota between the second and third period. He mentioned that Murray was one of the best players when the Sioux played BC at the end of the year, although he's out with a shoulder injury now. I think if the depleted lineup was overlooked, it was only because the players that are getting ice time now are playing so well as a team, so the lineup doesn't look depleted when you watch them play. At the beginning of the year, no one would exactly be thrilled about a Massen/Canady/Fabian line, and now they're one of most solid lines for the Sioux.
-
Actually I was wondering if some people were watching a different broadcast than I was, because I never heard some of these comments that people are talking about on here. Bill (was it Bill?) couldn't quit talking about the 2 "oak trees" on the Sioux team. I thought they were actually quite complimentary of the Sioux.
-
Picky picky. Everyone's calling them BU announcers, so that's what I put in there. I'll change it, happy now?
-
Hilarious. It's going in my signature. Between the aggressive way BU came out in the first period and the number of penalties the Sioux were taking, I was nervous that the game could go the other way. But this team just doesn't give up, which makes them so exciting to watch right now. They are really capitalizing on the chances they are getting, and Parise is making some great saves. I'm starting to look for flights out to Columbus after I finish presenting my scholarly project at the med school on April 7th. Damn school getting in the way! Game on BC. I hope they look past the Sioux the way they seemed to be looking past Mercyhurst this afternoon!

I have a lot of psychosocial training in my field, and yes, I was offended by the "nut job" remark. Somebody's mental well being is not a laughing matter.

And your nephew! I'm positive with him in the lineup, SS.com would have scored the last couple goals they needed to tie/win the game. Although, we may need a bigger bench if we bring in more players!
