Maybe if we get a big enough group order. I would be interested in buying one, which would definitely be making appearances at Gopher games in the future! I would like to echo everybody else's sentiments about the highlights. I got excited just listening to the announcers naked enthusiasm. Once the game winning goal was scored, it was like they completely forgot about their job and just got caught up in the game....sounds like me at the World Juniors, right PCM.

Gaffigan is absolutely hilarious! And this movie did a good job of capturing just how weird hockey fanatics get about following their teams. I think my favorite part was when they visited the Wisconsin High School Hockey Hall of Fame as part of their yearly tradition. Funny stuff. Sorry to the people who get bent out of shape when the talk drifts away from hockey.... "I love how vegetarians always feel like they have to brag about what they eat. 'I haven't had meat in 5 years.' I haven't had a banana in a month, but you don't hear me bragging about it."

So I am turning into a huge fan of Jim Gaffigan and ran across the movie No Sleep Till Madison. It's a nickel and dime movie about these guys who go to the Wisconsin State High School Hockey Tourney every year. How has this not made the top of hockey movie lists? I thought it was hilarious! Has anyone else seen it?

YES! In one of the rare moments that the video feed didn't stop to buffer, I caught the announcers talking about players dealing to get 2 min roughing for a break. "Deal or no deal." I immediately thought of our inhouse celebrity, MafiaMan SCORE Wisconsin!

In all fairness, he's probably logged a lot of ice time. I can't say I wouldn't be cramping up too....although I'm not exactly what you would call in game shape.

Oh maybe. I just got back from walking my dog and checked the NCAA tracker, and that's what they listed for shots. (I didn't mistake them for goals this time at least!)

Shots on goal are only 39-20 after 5 periods of hockey?? Snore....

Whoa, did I read that right? Wisconsin is up 6-2 in the 1st period? Edit: Doh! Those were shots on goal. Still new to the game tracker.

There's good and not so good fans everywhere you go. It's a shame, but it's true. My favorite Gopher fan that has sat in front of me at the Final Five the last few years and I have a love/hate relationship. The first thing he said when he saw me this year was "Your f'ing team sucks!" But that's only because he knows that I take it all in stride and give it right back. He got an earful about how arrogant Gopher fans are once the losing began. I can only hope the tradition will continue next year. Sorry you ran into some bad eggs WPoS. Unfortunately, it happens at every arena. Hey, one of these years I need to buy YOU a brew at the Final Five! See you next year!

Face value. If you're patient and not desperate to get in for warm ups, you'll run into some actual hockey fans who just want to get their money back because their team lost or friends backed out on tickets. This guy had a lot of people back out on tickets because of the WCHA frozen four.

Just go. You will always be able to find tickets. Last year my friends and I were making a long car trip to Iowa to pick up a friend, then on to Columbus when a guy from Boston who sold me tickets the year before called me up and had 5 tickets available for us.

Seems to me that Blais tried that with Schneider and Matt Jones a couple years ago too. Hakstol has really turned our powerplay into something special though. I always wondered how our powerplay wasn't better when we had Parise and Bochenski leading it.

Was that a PP goal?? What is Smaby doing in front of the net on the power play? Not that I'm complaining...
