Does anyboy know if the regional games will be broadcast on satellite? If so, will they show the MN/Holy Cross game as well? I get FSN Rocky Mountain out here, but according to their website they won't be showing any college hockey. I figured they'd at least show the CC games.

I think you guys should plan to tailgate. It's 10x better than the bars for getting jacked up for the game, and you get to talk a little smack with the Gopher fans. WPoS is a bit too passionate about the Gophers, but he is tolerable. Can I just say that after beating Mark Ranfranz at Beer Darts on Saturday I am officially moving myself up the ladder from sucking at Beer Darts to being below average.

Nah, we're all party poopers. I know that I personally look down on that sort of nonsense....at least after being sieved for falling off my cooler. I don't know if you'll be able to tailgate in the Ralph parking lot or not. The parking is all reserved for Fighting Sioux Club members, but I don't know if they'll get their reserved spots during the NCAA's or not. You may want to call the arena and check. There is tailgating allowed at the football stadium, but I haven't seen it at REA before....probably because it's too cold. The other parking lots near the arena are student parking lots for the dorms, and since it's a dry campus you probably wouldn't be able to have any beverages there. Have fun this weekend! I'm jealous, I can't go to the games!

Oh, you dare tempt me with the tasty goodness that is The Wookie?? Shame on you! Bertibm, I think the first year that this game took place I actually emailed Doug Woog and told him about it, thinking he might be interested enough to mention it during some down moments of the Final Five broadcast. He emailed me a short line back saying that it sounded like fun. I think it would be cool to give this annual game some exposure to spark the rivalry even more.

SS.com played a great game today! Like someone said earlier, a great way to end a fun weekend of Sioux hockey! I had fun hanging out with our star goalie for a bit on Friday night and the rest of the SS.com players that went to lunch after the game. We should try and meet up again next year. I realized toward the end of the game that I should have been counting shots on goal for stuckinfargo since I was watching from the goal line. Next year we'll have to start taking stats. This weekend definitely made me want to move back to the MN/ND area!

Actually it was a free Red Baron pizza, and boy was I ever lit up like a Christmas tree!! I must have spent enough at the bar on Friday night because the bartender in club level bought me one on Saturday. What a weekend!

Assuming I can drag myself out of bed after a quick but hardcore St. Patty's Day run Friday night, I will be there! Saturday definitely works best for me since I will go straight from the airport to the arena Friday afternoon. Be forewarned, I'm not quite as hairy as my avatar portrays.

Exactly. I thought the DU/Sioux games would have been HUGE considering the history between these 2 teams the last two years. The arena was half empty and the fans were clueless. For whatever reason (small private college? too many professional teams in the city?) Denver does not support their college team. All I could think of was that a "bad" night at the Ralph still has 9-10k in the seats. Crap. Denver scores.

You're pretty gracious using the term "fans" with DU followers. I was rather disappointed in the fanbase when I was there 2 weeks ago, considering they are 2x defending national champions.
