I think we still would have a sizeable order to give the Holy Cross bookstore. I still haven't heard back from the lady I was in contact with there after I sent her an email asking how much they were. I'll send her another email today to let her know that we still have people interested and try to find out more. I emailed the lady in the athletic dept. and requested that the entire team sign each jersey, and made sure to let her know that we were all appreciative of what she is doing for us. (Let me know ASAP if you do not want your jersey signed, but it will be easier to just have them sign them all to lessen confusion....if they'll do it.) As of now, there are no game worn Holy Cross jerseys left. I'm assuming the people who stated earlier that they wanted a Holy Cross jersey will still want to buy a replica from the bookstore? How did I not know there was a time change this morning?! I'm late for work... I got this email back from the athletic department. OK, answers!!! Yes, these are the jerseys we wore in the NCAA's out there in ND. Each player will happily sign their own jersey. No white jerseys are available. I am working on payment issues...I don't think we have an on-line paying system. A check would be the best way. Is it possible for all the people to write you a check and you make out one big one to send? So it looks like like we can get them signed, although I'll have to make it clear that we would want the whole team to sign the jerseys. And to make it easier on them, I'll need everyone to send me a check so I can write the biggest check of my life and make me feel like a big spender. I will PM everyone later in the day when I have more time and give out my address, and of course I'll need your address so that Holy Cross knows where to send the jerseys. YaneA, if you want a game worn jersey I'll gladly put you down for the last one, but don't feel like you have to. They will sell us these jerseys if we can't get rid of one or two. So let me know as soon as you can if you want this one or a replica from the bookstore. I emailed my contact person in the athletic department these questions, and she responded back that she will ask Coach Pearle tomorrow and find out some answers. There are a few people who have questions about the jerseys. We have some real crazy hockey fanatics around here, so don't laugh when you read this! 1. Are these the exact same jerseys worn when Holy Cross beat Minnesota in the West Regional? 2. Would the hockey team be willing to sign the jerseys? 3. There are 2 guys who both want Reinhardt's (#14) jersey. Would one of them be able to buy the home #14 jersey for $200? I'm not sure if you are already auctioning off the home jerseys, but I told him I would ask. We shouldn't run into that problem. I emailed the PR director this morning and told her that it looked like we would have enough people interested to buy a majority if not all of the jerseys, and she emailed me back this afternoon and said "Cool, keep me posted." It was just Friday when she contacted Coach Pearle about the jerseys, and this was the list he said he would make available to us. She made it sound like they haven't been able to auction jerseys off in the past because there isn't enough interest in buying them, so they're pretty excited to have our support! I won't know anything about the money until I contact the athletic department on Monday. We didn't hash out any details when I first contacted the PR director because I didn't know if people would actually be interested in spending money on game worn jerseys. It was just an idea. I'm assuming though that we would pay for them pretty quickly and that they will set something up so that each person can pay online for their jersey. Just tell them that Sioux fans are the most dedicated fans when it comes to torturing Gopher fans/players. Plus, anybody has to like a team that works hard and overcomes the odds! I don't know for sure, but I would think so. I can't imagine they have more than 1 jersey of each color. I could be wrong though. I suppose I could ask. If they are the exact jerseys worn when Holy Cross beat the Gophers, then mine is pictured here.

Once again, the Holy Cross jerseys are the game worn away jerseys (purple) and have only the numbers. There are no players' names on the back, and the price is $200 per jersey. This was decided by Coach Pearle. When I talk to the athletic office again on Monday I could inquire about home jerseys, but right now this is all we have. I don't know yet how we're going to pay for them, but I'm going to email the athletic dept. right now to let them know that we will be buying the jerseys. And just so everyone knows, I'm going by first come first served on the numbers. If you want a number that someone else has already claimed, you'll have to take it up with that person. Update on the Holy Cross Jerseys: I got a call about an hour ago from the lady I spoke to in the athletic department, and she said that she got a hold of Coach Pearle. He has already begun auctioning off some of the team's jerseys for local charities, but he would be willing to sell us their away (purple) game worn jerseys at an even $200/jersey and take them off the auction if we bought all 20 that he would make available. As someone mentioned, there aren't any names on the back of the away jerseys, and she said he took some of the senior player's names off the list (I'm assuming to give to the players). She was supposed to email me a list of the exact player's jerseys they would be selling to us so we'd know which numbers are available, but I haven't received it yet. Either a slow transaction or she got my email address wrong. I'll post that info on here when I get it. I'm thinking though that the people who want the game worn jerseys can go that route, and the people who don't want to spend that much money can put an order into the bookstore, which sounds like it will take 3-6 months to get them ordered and made. I don't think we would have to buy all 20 of the game worn jerseys to get them at $200 a pop, but that is how many are available. Let me know what you guys are thinking and we can go from there. I tried calling the athletic department back to see if she found any information on just putting in a group order to get jerseys made, but had to leave a message since there wasn't an answer. MafiaMan, I didn't have any better luck finding anything online for getting Holy Cross jerseys made.
