An update...sorry this is taking awhile. I was waiting on getting money from everyone before I sent a check out. I'm sending the money to Holy Cross for the jerseys tonight, and the lady organizing all this said the jerseys are ready to be shipped out. I'm having the jerseys sent to Minneapolis and Grand Forks, and this is the list I have. Please let me know ASAP if you can't pick your jersey up in the town I'm having it sent to. Mike, you easily became a fan favorite with the grit and determination you brought to each and every game. You played tough every night and always with a smile on your face...you put a whole new meaning to the phrase, "Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin." As others have said, when a player enjoys himself on the ice as much as you obviously do, the excitement becomes infectious and helps to stir up the crowd. Thanks for all the great memories and good luck with wherever your future takes you. You'll always have a cold one waiting for you in Denver!

I also got one of these posters and it looks great! Imageshack is a free site that hosts pictures. Just go to the site and browse for a picture on your hard drive, click "Host It," then copy the URL they give you and paste it on this forum. It's easy.

I asked the person in the athletic dept. about it again a couple days ago, and she emailed me this back on Monday. "Today is a state holiday (and Boston Marathon), so I don't think I can find anyone up at the rink to see if they are all ready, but should be. Also, never got that info on the authentic jerseys from the equipment manager. I will leave him a message now to get me the info if he would." After a couple quick responses from someone at the Holy Cross bookstore way back when I first started looking into this, I haven't heard back since. So hopefully the equipment manager will be able to get me a phone number or something.

FYI, all game worn jerseys have been spoken for. I think interest has died out for Holy Cross jerseys after the Frozen Four, so I'm done "taking orders." As soon as I get all the money, I'll be sending a check to Holy Cross.

I think so. The same person who is doing the work on these game worn jerseys for us said she would look into it, which I think she has a little. Once I get these game worn jerseys taken care of, I'll ask her for more info on that. I know MafiaMan would like one too, and probably others.

Ok, I got information on additional game worn jerseys (from past seasons). Here is the email she sent to me. Hey Nicole! Tough game the other day. I was rooting for you guys, even over a team I grew up with. Here is the list that I have been working on with Coach. If these wild fans are so interested in replicas, maybe they would want a practice jersey too! I have attached a picture of 1 of each of them for you to see. Please. Losing in the semifinals of an NCAA tournament to a quality team...one win away from a national championship...is hardly something to feel ashamed of. But if you really want to wear one that badly, you can just borrow mine.

Really?? My biggest fear is being stabbed in the kidneys in a dark alley. It might take a day or two to find out which numbers are available of the past season jerseys. The person I've talked to in the athletic dept. said she'd have to go down to the rink herself when she has time to make a list. I'll go back and make a list of people who said they'd like one of these jerseys when my hangover backs off a little.

She definitely deserves a big thank you for all she is doing for us! As for me, don't worry about it. It's been fun and people have already expressed their thanks. I agree, this is a great idea! I've only received addresses from about 1/2 of the people, as I think the rest just sent their addresses with the money. But so far it looks like there are 5 people in ND, 3 people in Minnesota/St. Paul area, 2 in Colorado, and 1 in Alabama. It sounds like the best bet is to have one box sent to Grand Forks and one box sent to Minneapolis/St. Paul. YaneA is right on the UND campus and would be a good person for GF. Runningwiththedogs, if you're still ok with taking the ones in MN that's cool with me. We'll just have to figure out how to work out how the rest of us will get them. If it were up to Sioux fans, it would happen in an instant! I think it would be fun to set up a non-conference game against Holy Cross in the future, ala Canisius (I miss my Wookie... ) Hopefully I'll find out tomorrow which #'s will be available for the jerseys of past seasons.

Sader, thanks for sharing that. I don't think Sioux fans ever had any ill will toward Holy Cross. As that person stated, the athletic dept. probably moved too quickly to help us out and ended up in a bind. Sioux fans know that to get a Fighting Sioux game worn jersey you have to drop big bucks, so we're just thankful that we were even given this opportunity. That being said, I got this very nice email back this morning from the athletic department. Hey, me again. I just talked to Coach. He and the equipment manager said that due to the NHL, AHL and all other hockey leagues still playing, the jersey companies won't stop production right now to make college jerseys, so there is usually a 4-6 month wait. They could be wrong, but did both strongly say that. Also, he has no knowledge of our book store even having replicas! He also said that In the back room in our rink there are some game worn purple jerseys from previous years if there are any interest in them...$150 each and I will get you a list of what numbers there are. As for shipping, we will pay for that, it's the least we can do for you being so cooperative about those 4. We plan on sending you 1 or 2 boxes if that is ok and when you get all the money from all the people, he wants that check before we send out the jerseys. Also, it will be about 2-3 weeks, they are being washed now and then need to dry and then get signed...all but #17. Did you find out if the team should sign them all? And we don't think you are crazy, this is great and we love that we had the support that game, it was so awesome to be in that arena with 9,000 fans for us and only 2,000 for Minnesota. And that building is beautiful. Our rink, 1,500 seats on metal benches on one side of the rink. Not so nice!!! What else?? This has been an interesting conversation over the past week! Very classy people. The only problem is that now I will be stuck receiving all the jerseys and I'm moving to Denver on May 7th. I'll have to figure that one out. I may just have them send the jerseys to my sister's house in Denver since it will take 2-3 weeks anyway, plus shipping time. Is anyone interested in the game worn jerseys from previous years? This sucks, but I can understand that alumni come first in this situation and the athletic department was probably so taken aback by us Sioux fans that they gave me too quick of an answer on Friday. So I just checked my email and got good news and bad news. The good news: the lady from the athletic dept. said she's sure she can get the whole team to sign all the jerseys. The bad news: "Please don't hate me for this email. The head of my department has ordered me to rescind 4 of the jerseys that I promised to you and your group. I feel terrible about this, but there was a lack of communication and these jerseys were delegated to a big alumni donor of the school. They are numbers 3, 7, 10 and 19. Please let those who chose these jerseys know and I will work on getting the info of the people who made the jerseys to see if we can get authentic ones made vs. the replicas you are going to order from the school store. Again, I am so sorry about this and hope it doesn't anger the others." I would be willing to give up my jersey (#10) to one of those 4 people whose jersey is being recalled. I don't know what to do about the rest. Sorry guys.

You're going to make me even more depressed. I can't make it to Milwaukee this year. My boss denied my request to take the 6th off and I'm quitting my job and moving to Denver, so no money.
