CBS Sports is better quality for sure, but the FCS feed that they've been showing on DirecTV this year has been worse than the webcast. The aspect ratio has been wrong and everything is squashed.

If you were under the impression you were going to get EVERY game on NCHC.tv, you apparently didn't read everything that said certain games are already under contract with other broadcasters to show the games (Root Sports and CBS Sports Channel). Its been clear since the beginning that certain games won't be webcast.

I would guess he's in Walsh, that's where most of the freshman hockey players live. And I assume if he got a call from coach saying "Get to the rink", he'd pretty much drop everything and get his butt over there as fast as a possible. Definitely no more than a few minutes.

I did get confirmation from a very reliable source that the band is not being cut.

They're in a weird situation. At least when I was there, it was a strange mix of music department and athletics. They get some funding from each department. But in my mind, there's no way they could cut The Pride, which is primarily the marching band for football, and still have a respectable division 1 football program.

Sorry, that was a follow up to my post about NCHC.tv video working, but audio not. Then the audio started working. Now it's not working again. Maybe it'll be worked out by the time the puck drops.

Audio just kicked in.

NCHC.tv video is working ok for me but I'm not getting any audio. On my laptop, that is. Haven't tried any other device.

Assuming USCHO's PWR is up to date, we're now only .0004 points behind QU in RPI. As I understand it, if we can pass them in RPI, the comparison will flip and we'll take over #1 overall.

I'm having DirecTV issues here in the southern Twin Cities metro. Can somebody give updates here?

I've been thinking that since it debuted. I get that's it's a play on the name of the school song, but the title alone makes it sound like it's a boring, waste of time and nothing to get excited about.

And UMD just finished the sweep of SCSU so we clinch a share of the conference title!!

Stream quality is actually quite good. A bit shaky every now and then, but the quality is spectacular.

I'm on DirecTV. No black bars on the sides, but they're on the top and bottom and squashing the picture vertically.

The penalty was called immediately. And as soon as the whistle blew, the signal was made for a penalty shot. Ref's don't cross their arms above their hands to signal penalty shot until after play stops, so there was nobody pressuring him to make the call. Until UMD touched the puck the play was still alive.
