I think i'd be in with this. I'm on 20 though and not a very big guy.

There would actually be less seating for a basketball game at The Alerus Center, I think.
Because for basketball at the Ralph, all seats are available due to a basketball court being rougly the same size as a hockey rink.
But if they had them at the Alerus, they would block off seating and they would actually only use one end of the arena. I know that's how they do it at FargoDome, but then again they also have wraparound seating for football at the The Dome. So who knows. I'll actually be going to my first bball game at the ralph tonight. Should be good.
But I agree, once they get a hotel attached, it really should help for conventions.

I find it humerous that Zach's rank is also his number.
Maybe it's just me, though.
-
First I looked at it I thought "what the hell, MN is higher than us?"
Then I realized they are 5:1, we are actually 3.5:1. I'm a fool, i guess.

At Sioux boosters today in Fargo, rich Glas seemed pretty confident that when UND files it's appeal on Wednesday or Thursday that the committee will show a little common sense and Myron Allen will be have his eligibility reinstated by the 5 member committee--hopefully sooner than later. He said they have already asked for Myron's class schedule so the conference call can be arranged. By the way the guest mc at todays sioux Booster meeting in Fargo was none other than Ed Schultz----just kidding!!!
That's great news. Let's just hope everything goes though. Myron seems like a really good guy that didn't do anything on purpose, he just probably thought "oh pro basketball? Awesome!" He really deserves to play, cuz from what I hear, his GPA is really good, too, meaning he's working hard on all fronts.

don't worry about time. this thing is awesome. and now that I can save picks. even better.
thank you so much.

Wooger has been saying it that way since he's been broadcasting.
You would think he ran into a few of them in his many years in Minn, hockey. It's not like the Sioux are the only ones with Lundbohm's on their team.
Must be something psychological. Other than that he's a pretty good color man.
-
Am I the only one that gets annoyed when Woog says Lundblum? There's only one "L" in his name, and it's at the beginning. It's pronounced Lundbohm.
-
Demarchi played really clean tonight. I wonder if he'll get pissed and just explode tomorrow.
-
I miss him, just imagine this team if he was still here.
Although I'd feel bad because there would be some other awesome player on the team that would have to be benched so Ryan could play.
-
In case there are still skeptics, the splash screen on channel 23 says:
"UND Sioux Vs. Minnesota Gophers 7:00 tonight"
now, does anybody know about tomorrow nights game?
edit: nevermind, it looks like they are diong a men's bball game tomorrow, so no hockey for us.

this is the best news I've heard all week. since fightingsioux.com doesn't list these games as being televised, I thought i'd be sitting by my computer listening to the webcast all night. but if I can watch it, wooooOO!
-
That's too bad. If this had happened a few years ago, who knows what would have happened to Myron. Now he has obviously matured a great deal, is married, and a father. I think I heard Rich say on WDAY last week that Myron had a 3.0 GPA last semester.
Does he have the option to stay at UND and finish his education? How will this affect his scholarship? Does the NCAA have any say in that? (I doubt it.)
I am guessing that he will be leaving and giving pro ball a shot.
I didn't get the opportunity to get over to GF to watch him live and now I regret it.
Well, if he's ineligable, his scholarship will probably get pulled. But there's nothing that's going to stop him from staying in school if he can pay for it, which would say tons about his character.
-
I'm not sure it makes much difference to Blais which line is first and which is second. On the official line charts, the Parise-Bochenski-whoever line has always been listed as the second line, even though most consider it the first line.
1st line are the one they introduce before the game. And usually it's not bochenski-parise. Then again they are probably on the ice within 1 minute, or less, anyway.

So what if he is a good student.. is it even worth going to college if he is only gonna be there a year?
it'll allow him to play with some players that are bigger, so he'll be a bit more ready when he hits the NHL.
-
For you Central and Western north dakotans... according to tvguide.com it looks like not only are they not playing the game tape delayed on saturday morning, but college basketball will be on instead of college hockey on saturday night.
Looks like im going to make a trip to visit some friends in Fargo this weekend
Who's televising the games in Fargo? I can't exactly make it to the cities (from GF) for the games since of recent car expenses, but I grew up in moorhead so I could make it there to watch the games. www.fightingsioux.com doesn't list these games as going to be televised. Is it just on dish networks? If that's the case I guess I'd have to go to a place such as Buffalo Wild Wings since I'm only 20, no bars.
-
The re-seating of the arena is going to happen, whether nets are installed or not. Although it is a convenient excuse, it is not the reason for the seat changes. It all goes back to the suites being built at a level where the ice is impossible to see when the crowd in the lower bowl is standing.
Too bad, they actually did screw up something when they designed the Ralph.
-
GO SPUDS!!!!
woooo! That's right. Both of our hockey teams are doing pretty good this year.
-
I'm surprised the nets aren't already there. After the lady got killed from a puck to the head last year in an NHL game, I figured since the NCAA usually has strickter rules than the NHL, we'd have nets already.
Then again, most of our shots that don't go IN the net tend to hit the post.

This dude went to the same High School as I did, that's cool that's he's doing so well in the big-leagues (or is that term reserved for baseball?)
-
Here's what I came up with:
UND 28 48
CC 28 46
SCSU 28 34
UMN 28 32
UMD 28 30
Denver 28 29
Mankato 28 26
UW 28 18
MTech 28 10
AA 28 7
NOTE: I'm probably WAYYYY off, but it was fun nonetheless.
Will this get updated as the weeks pass, in order to take off games already played and put those points in permanantly?
-
I'm guessing the rules says that once a call is made it can't be reversed. Although this kind of call should be able to be reversed.
