Here's a few of the little bits and clips I could type up during the 2 minute long interview (maybe only a minute long). Took one game at a time Tough michigan team Holy Cross tougher than people expected. They are a "heck of a program, heck of a team." It was a tough battle. Important to continue buidling momentum, but keep business as usual. Been in playoff mode for 4-5 weeks now. Nothing will change, still just take it one game at a time. Took an awful lot of a time for the team and chemistry to develop, but now we're seeing the benefits. playing consistantly now, and they're trying to continue it.

Hakstol interview after the commercial on CN8.

Well....that's news to me. I thought this broadcast of the game on FSN was live. Apparently it's not. Good to see I didn't miss any scoring
-
Like it or not, it's better for the league as a whole to not have one conference dominating the tournament.
-
But not completely. Good choice on the vote for Zajac, although it's not just all weekend that his specialty teams play was outstanding, it was all year long. He's the single best penalty killer I've ever seen. I remember the first exhibition game last year against Manitoba. He was out on a penalty kill and nearly killed off a full minute by himself behind the Manitoba net. I was in awe. I'm so glad it wasn't just a fluke performance.
-
You said it yourself: "at this time of year." He has a late birthday, that's all. Having a late b-day, and graduating a year early makes for a REALLY young college freshman. Yet he's still tearing it up at the D1 level. Amazing.
-
He was talking about the WCHA All-Rookie team. Did you vote for that one, too?
-
Freshmen? What are freshmen? I thought our team is just a bunch of hockey players. Age? Bah! Who cares how old they are or how long they've been playing together. No, i'm not ranting at you, just something that I've been thinking the past couple weeks. And on that note. WOOOOO!!!!!!!

Ya beat me to it.

Looks more like a thin layer of paint chipped off. Electrical tape wouldn't come off like that. It would peel off in strips.

I've never been there, so I don't know the place at all, plus I'll be going alone. I figured to leave home a bit after 7, then get there about 7:45 or so. If you see a guy in a Sioux jersey sitting alone, it'll likely be me. Feel free to say hi and invite me to join you.
-
I'll be wearing a white Sioux jersey...no number. I'll say hi. I'm Chris.
-
I'm with you on this one. I've always liked the look. Never been a big Michigan fan (or even a little one), but I've always liked it. Another reason I was so disappointed when I saw the bracket and realized I was going to miss a Sioux/Wolverine matchup.
-
The "Engelstad Channel" would be Fighting Sioux Sports Network. And no, it won't be carrying the game.
-
Sounds like watching it live at Sensor's with other Sioux fans is going to be a better option than watching the tape delay alone. I think I'll actually head over there tonight.
-
I don't know why, but I haven't felt this elated about any win that I can remember. I don't even remember feeling this way after watching the Sioux boot the Gophers out of the tournament in Columbus last year. There was just something about the way they played today that made it look like....I don't know....it was just amazing to watch them do their thing tonight.
-
So THAT'S what they were chanting.
-
You're so right. Pile on as many adjectives as you want, and it still won't prepare you for when you actually see him play. There are no words.....

Not a good day to have an M on your sweater, I suppose.

I think I just saw MafiaMan on TV. EDIT: I think it was him http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?showuser=45 Look at his profile. Whoever I saw on TV looks a lot like the guy on the right of the picture in his profile. He posted another pic, which I can't find right now, a couple days ago, that's why I recognized him so quickly.

I'm gonna have to quote this after watching that goal. That boy never stops working his ass off. It's AMAZING to watch how hard he plays. I think the rest of the team is starting to try to match his intensity.

I need to be sure to buy a copy of the Strib tomorrow.
-
Grabs it out of the air, puts it down, and scores. What amazing hockey awareness......wow!
-
The horn goes off for every goal, for both teams.
-
Isn't that why we brought him back into the lineup? To score shorthanded goals?
