I can't wait for the 2nd of February when Red River takes it to Minot 11-0. I don't care if that Dillon Kraft kid got kicked off the team, one of the older leaders on the team should have said something to him before he did that. That is just classless, the Riders will show them how hockey is supposed to be played.
Well theoretically most of the knotheads should be off the team by now.
In all honesty I do not think the game will be that big of a blowout. Minot takes care of their defensive zone pretty well. But who knows, Red River just might have to much offensive power.
Minot plays Grafton the night after Red River...

Wow!! What happened to South? Red River killed them. There must be something wrong with South, chemistry issues, big heads, or something. But even their goalie played bad. I can understand a fluke game but letting in 8 goals is hardly a fluke. And I am sure it was not all is fault; apparently the whole team played horrible. Wow...
I now have Grafton in front of South in my rankings.

I am getting really disappointed with Minot players. I heard that another player was caught with alcohol, so he will be suspended. This is getting ridiculous!
These kids need to have some commonsense! Minot has lost FIVE Varsity players this year! It is starting to make me mad.One bright thing I can think of is that the JV team has not lost a single player to a suspension. So there might be some hope for the future. (Three of the JV players, including two of the better players, are from Bishop Ryan)

I have a good feeling coming into the upcoming weekend. The Sioux are rolling. They have a record of 6-1-1 in the last 8 games. The Fighting Sioux have out-scored their opponents 26 to 13. That is double the goals. I know Minnesota will be ready to play following a tough split with Denver but North Dakota will be too and the momentum favors the Sioux. Lets go Sioux!!!

Well, if you feel that way then hats off to Minot for working through tough officiating to get a road win. Its getting to a point in the season where region games (especially on the road) are huge for postseason standing, good teams find ways to win when the chips are stacked against them, and getting the win on the road should be a confidence booster for the magi.
I guess the paper said that the penalties were 8 for Minot and 7 for Jamestown. I don't know if it was that bad....
Yes it was a big road win for the team. It should help them carry some momentum into the West Region turnament. They are realy clicking on all cylinders right now. Also, they are good in the defensive zone. Like I said, the JV game's reffing was worse than the Varsity game's. But for instance in the Varsity game, one of the Minot players fell down in front of the net. The puck was no where to be seen and there was a scrum. But the reffs would not blow the whistle. When they finaly did, it turned out that the Minot player was on top of the puck (out of the crease) and they gave him a delay of game penalty. You can not give a kid a delay of game penalty for just not getting up when there is a scrum going on.

Also heard Bottineau over Dickinson. Its nice to see Bottineau winning some games again. The numbers definately make a difference.
The game was in Jamestown. Apparently they got the ice fixed.
Jamestown has horrible refs.
They ran the two man system for the JV game. They were bad, bad refs. In the Varsity game they were a little bit better and at least there were three of them but they still were not very good. The reffing was terrible.

Umm, Minot beat Bismarck, so I'm not sure where you think Bismarck is that much better.
Plus, Minot beat Hazen 9-0, or something like that, and Bismarck beat Hazen 1-0 last night.

How in the world is minot so high? Even tho i dont think DL is that good i think DL and FN are btter then minot.
The last time DL and Minot played Minot lost on a penalty shot in overtime; Minot has improved since then.

In West Region play Bismarck High beat Hazen 1-0. The statistic of the night is the goaltender from Hazen being credited with 72 Saves...
WOW! Minot killed Hazen. The score was something like 9-0. Hazen's goalie must be able to stand on his head some nights. 73 shots and only one goal...

Was that a serious comment, they lost to Century's Jv and your predicting them to knock Century off. Bottineau has no chance to make it to state.
Yes it was serious. That Century game was for 2 points. Also, I am pretty sure that Century had more than the usual number of Varsity kids playing. The game was for two points though.

I find it very hard to believe the one game he has a sharpie hidden in his breezers he scores his only goal of the year. That just doesn't add up.
That was his second goal of the year.

I wonder how many games he carried that sharpie until he scored. He must have felt like a complete loser after the games he didn't score.
I know that most likely that was the first game he carried it.
Also, I do not support classless acts, but like I said, I don't realy see this as a very classless act.

Bottineau is pretty good I think. I am giving them a decent chance to go to State this year. I see them possibly knocking off a slightly higher ranked team like Williston or Century in the West region turnament.

There was talk that the Minot High Athletic Director, Pat McNally, is going to susbend Kraft for a game. I do not know if there is any truth to it though.
