Ness can flat out play. It will be interesting to see how he makes the transistion to D-1 - he could very well be scary good!
-
Thanks! So has PCM given up on us at SS.com?
-
Not the case at all - I just find it funny how you rip on players on the Sioux roster without making a legitimate case as to why he should not be on the first line. I feel any player is open to valid criticism but to suggest that Walski should skate for Miller is ridiculous. IMO, Miller should not be on the 1st line either. I would rather see Kozek, Trupp or perhaps even Malone to do battle in the corners.

Trunk Monkey replied to mudd's topic in Tickets wanted / for sale
I would be interested in the Saturday tickets as I already have tickets for Friday. -
What happened to PCM? I haven't seen a post from him in sometime and really miss the recap of the Wednesday night coaches show.
-
How about in the 1st round of the F5, goofs vs the Sioux. It could very well happen.
-
Why don't you go tell Hak that since you know so much more than him.....

Tickets are sold. -
Well said - I agree 100% with all of your points!

How is the quality - worth the $6?

And for a guy who has been around hockey as a defensemen, when it is a 2 on 3 the defensemen should take the body every time.
-
How about Chorney actually taking the body before the player ever had the chance for the wrap around....
-
What game did you just watch....oh yeah thats right we cannot be critical of our precious Sioux. 1st SCSU goal it is a 2 on 3 - Chorney needs to take the body on the player that eventually scored.

Had I known a week or so earlier and I would have bought Oshie some Depends for Christmas.
-
I hope they do get dropped but that will not change the fact that Oshie will not be in the line-up come tomorrow night. Apparantly Hak thought there was enough of an issue to make Osh miss a game.
-
If it was not a big deal, why would Hak have suspended TJ? Going into St. Cloud at a critical time of the season without your best player is a big deal in my book but that's just me.
-
I find it funny how so many people on this board think lack of personal accountability is acceptable....just a blame it on someone else mentality. I don't have any idea what occurred that night but one thing I do know is that Hak, who does know what happened, has suspended one of our best players on the team heading into a crucial series on the road. To pass this off as something that is no big deal is just plan assanine as Hak deemed it a big enough issue to suspend Oshie. That does not change my opinion of Oshie - great player and an even better person.
-
Here is my take for whatever it is worth - After having meet TJ Oshie on a couple of occassions, watching how he gives 120% every time he is on the ice, making the decision to come back and play another year, staying overtime to sign autographs etc... I believe that he is one heck of a good hockey player but even a better person. Sure I am disappointed about the arrest but I do not have a clue as to the circumstances leading up to the arrest. I wish the very best for TJ as he finishes his Sioux career and will most certainly cheer for him in the NHL.
-
Very well said. I love to cheer against the Gophers but that is because they do have a successful program much like UND's. By the way, how many Stanley Cups have the Islanders won in the last 10 years - have they even made the playoffs????
-
and no green eyes in the video would be a good thing....I laugh every time I see that and do not understand why they have it in there as it is SOOOOOO gay.

Ahhhh my favorite magazing the Horse News.....especially the centerfolds

I had not heard of a Nokota since you brought it up - thanks for the info. That being said, I personally hate it...but for every name I may like, you could very well hate. This will get ugly before it gets better and that is why I think we need to have just Dakota for a period of time to put some rationale into a good name that the majority supports. If the majority happens to like the name "Nokota" then I will have to accept that and support that name. I wish others could just support a name without reading more into it than there is but that just is not going to happen with current representation at the tribal level. Call me naive but I really thought that when the settlement was announced and that we needed to get tribal approval, that there had already been a deal in the works with the tribes for approval and it would be a matter of finalizing the details as oppossed to starting at square one.

I think t-shirts saying: Sioux Hockey, Sweeping at Home...Spliting on the Road....anything else is not acceptable. Good stuff!
