I disagree about everything you just wrote, except the part about hockey being a passionate game. You dont teach your kids to be tattletales, but you also shouldnt have to sit around a bunch of people that cant handle their alcohol and end up making the FIGHTING SIOUX students, alumni, fans look like a bumch of idiots.

I parent by taking my kids out to do things together as a family. Paid off last night, as we got a very nice tour of the players gym, etc., and they got to meet some of the players.

For those of you that have given the "get over it" and "roll with it" comments about the fans throwing things on the ice and the "F the Gophers" chant. I'd like to talk to you when you are the parent of a 7 year old. Thats not something you want your kids to take in. You try to teach them the right things and how to play fair, not how to be an embarrassment to your school.

My schedule shows the womens basketball team playing Glenville State tonight and Dakota State tomorrow night. Would they play at the Alerus this weekend because of the big hockey weekend and the parking at the Ralph?

I'm excited to see this. I got the kids outfitted this morning, with new white jerseys for tomorrow night. They already have the green.
