  1. Like a college kid's going to get a chance with Black Jacque? I hope Danny likes Houston. Best of luck; now that he's not a goopher.
  2. As good as a player he is, and as good a career in the NHL as I think he'll have; I don't think he's going to make an impact with NJ this year or even next year. Look at Zach Parise. I think he's still a year or two from approaching his potential. NJ could have sat on their money and let him play another year in college and they'd be just as well off. (in my opinion that is) And Zach was a completely dominating player in college or course and he will have a great NHL career. I don't blame any college player for taking the money when it's offered.
  3. Sure blame me because Danny vIrmen deserves better.
  4. I don't think you can say 'deserves it' after Danny vIrmin said they deserved better than losing to HC.

    Hrkac

OK the two top teams in the country. Minnesota and UND. Second period we're skating shorthanded. Tony Hrkac intercepts a pass between the two blue-liners and skates in for a shorthanded break-a-way. You may as well ended the game right there. My favorite Hrkac moment. I also remember in his first season when he was #7 the game he scored 6 assists in one game. (I think Travis Roche equaled that).
  6. What do you think Finley will do? The two way backhand deke?
  7. You mean to the penalty box don't you?
  8. I was out of the country in 2001 so I made it through that one.
  9. Good plan, use Zajac as a decoy on the first goal play.
  10. I'm saving Kaip for the first goal against Wisconsin Saturday night. I've been preparing for the game by watching the regional finals. Lighting can strike first. Travis Zajac. Last year he got us off to a GREAT start against BC.
  11. exactly what does that mean? Would we have to bet $1.30 to win $1.00 if UND won?
  12. So the last time we won the National we did it without any good players. Lee Goren was third team All-American (even though he led the nation in goals that year). In 1997 if I remember right we only had one good player, Jason Blake was a Hobey Baker candidate (of the ten I think) that year. Otherwise the rest of the guys were nothing special. In 1987 we actually won with a good players. Joyce and Kidd were first string All Americans; joined by a guy called Tony who also won the Hobey that year. We had a some guy on the second All-American team in Goal named Eddy. And what did he do besides win more games in the NHL than all but one person in history. (Incidentally you can say he won more games than every other college goalie). In 1982 we won without any recognized players. I think old number 25 Phil Sykes topped the honor's list with WCHA player of the year, but didn't get any recognition in the national honors. I think we had at least a couple good players in 1980. I think Smail and Taylor got national honors and I think Smail received a pre-Hobey award as the top player in the country. (I wasn't born for the other National Title teams. How did they do it without me). This year we have as good a chance as anyone to win. If we do it looks like we'll be doing it without any good players. By the way this is all by my recollection. I didn't look the award winners up so if I misstated something I apologize.
  13. I'm not surprised you didn't get it.
  14. All Gopher fans know that they'd win the national title twice a year (rather than just once a year) if they weren't the ONLY team to get raided by the NHL. They're the only team to get raided because Minnesota has the only good players. In fact Minnesota Fans know that there couldn't be an NHL without the 'U".
  15. I have forwarded everyone that's requested a picture of M Prpich getting G Paukovitch to everyone that's requested. So if you haven't received it yet, it's because it's either in your junk email folder or I screwed up. Go ahead and send a second request in you need to.
  16. What class is that, "Advanced Basketweaving?" "Don't poke sharp things in your eye?" "Things that grownups don't want you to know?" Just wondering what kind of class a Bison Alum could teach.
  17. What I'm thinking is that it was from a game up in Tech. So I'm only going by the account Tim Hennesey gave. Prpich wanted to fight Scott, but Ryan Hale being a bigger guy took over before the punches were being thrown. It didn't sound (again according to TH) that Ryan did all that well.
  18. You can see the fight at the Italian Moon if Brad's showing his fight tape. I love how Marco Paluso has to primp his hair before they actually start throwing punches. Ya gotta look good. I really appreciate this fight as they started the scuffle at center ice but they skated down to the circle right in front of me (5th row) so I could really see it. That's just a dang nice thing to do.
  19. You're the guy behind the TV time outs. I never would have guessed you were so powerful!
  20. That was the game. They gave poor Mike two minutes for that. Coach Hakstol said at the next Sioux boosters that Mike said it was completely unintentional. Hak said it was time to move on (that's what Hak said). I think Gwoz was trying to get his team a little excited about the game by being thrown out.
  21. So far I've emailed it out 8 or 9 times today. I haven't to Stafford rules and to Go Sioux as I don't have an email. Most have PM me. I need an email and they'll come from my hotmail account.
  22. But when all of the tickets are sold there's no advantage at the gate to have the home team play early or late. It seems to me that they should be concerned about ratings. North Dakota isn't that big of a deal, but then Maine isnt' that much of a bigger draw. On the other hand I would think that BC would draw many more viewers than the BADgers.
