I read in an article prior to this season quoting Brock saying that he was not satisfied with last year and that he intended to increase his focus on the game this year. Very humble guy, it seems.

He seemed to come out of nowhere as a freshman, but you could tell right away he had a shot like we hadn't seen much of at UND in recent years. He plays hard and has learned a lot, IMO, about being a team leader. Hope he stays healthy the rest of the year, for his sake and for fans of UND hockey.

If they don't sweep, it'll be because Berry can't coach and the boys can never play a full 60. The refs too, of course . . . But you're right--they should sweep.

More like respect, I think, for another small school with a strong hockey niche--quite unlike the UMinn rivalry. UW was different too. Big school and an intense rival, but I recall moving to Wisconsin in "84 (from nonhockey country prior to internet) and finding that Badger fans had a lot of respect for UND hockey and thought the rivalry was fun. But Wiscovites love to party, so there's that.

Even when those high-flying CC teams were giving UND fits, I don't recall Sioux fans expressing disrespect for CC or its fans. I may have just missed it, cause those CC teams were dam good.

I hope every opponent from now to tourney time brings their absolute best game. Not only the preparation they need for the tourney--it's also more fun to watch.

I care a lot less about bragging rights to banners than I should, but UMich has so many because it was good in the hula hoop era, when they used magazines for shin pads.
