I liked Pat S, and at first I was pissed at Hammer's lack of hockey knowledge. But he has enthusiasm, and I'm growing kind of fond of his goofy statements, partly because I don't think his goofiness is a contrived bit. We're all Hammer in more ways than we'd like to be, I think. So Hammer me--I'm OK with it.

It's been some time now since gfhockey has put up a decent post--just the same old simplistic whining you might expect from a UAB fan. We Sioux fans are expected to perform at level befitting our great tradition. Time to ban him.

The Sioux had a JV team in those days, and some of the JV guys did not like Gino at all. I think Rube was pretty mellow at that point, and Gino had some edge, and I suspect he was in charge of the JV squad. Sounds like a lot of you guys remember the old barn. No heat so sneaking in booze and win in those big air force parkas was so easy it was hardly hidden. Wire mesh in the end zone, where the cymbals guy would crash opposing players when they got their head up against the wire.
