So tonight I say tell my wife the good news that Gersich doesn't have mono. She looks at me like I'm speaking in tongues. An otherwise fully functional adult. I don't get it.

Hopefully they have changed that. If not, be sure you have someone with you when you drink it case things turn bad.

I like that this bunch does not seem inclined to take penalties. Allows them to roll 4 lines, which helps. We seem to have had some players with an appetite for the box in the past.

Ouch. If it's a serious case of mono, it will be hard for him to come back anytime soon. The fatigue can really last a long time in serious cases.

I don't suppose any of you would have a reason to check out the hfboards Chicago site for game threads. When the Hawks are losing, that place is pretty entertaining--the coach is an idiot and every player should be benched. It's just frustration speaking, of course, but those fans are pretty intense and the result is hilarious. Sometimes the frustration we feel makes us vent in a way that seems like "sky is falling" talk. At least that's what it looks like from where I sit. Though I have to say, if we don't get another goalie on campus, we might as well be in Madison.

In just about any rink, seats on the turn are best, and low on the second level is the pick of the litter, in my experience. Even in small rinks watching kids play, if you can stand on the glass at the turn, you can't do any better.

Yeah, I could see that on the second goal too. But some of that is probably confidence and comfort level.
