Coaches often talk about "timely" saves. And this weekend Zane was big time

It seems to me that WMU was a formidable opponent and if Zane wasn't out of this world today it would have been a split weekend, not a sweep. I can't take WMU that lightly knowing the goalie had to bail 'em out.

I guess Wilkie is what you call a "goal scorer".

Hak very complimentary of Mattson's assist on the winning goal. Said Zane never saw the first goal as his vision was blocked. Unsure of the 2nd. Feels WMU did a nice job on the 6 x 4 goal and wouldn't change much about what they were doing, but felt he needed to do a better job preparing the team for what happened on the 6 x 5 goal at the end. Very complimentary of WMU's effort and the game they played. Wore UND down. Hak said they shortened the lineup the last few minutes of the regular time, but feels they are an excellent team when they can roll all 4 lines, which is what they did in OT. Felt the D was really good tonight, but that the forwards might have been a step slow much of the night. Agreed with Hennessey that UND did deserve to win the game, but it was close and hard fought.

No wonder MN beat Michigan last week, then.

I've always thought if you took issue with what someone posted on a message board, the appropriate thing is to respond to them on that message board. Not take the quote to your "home" board, and then respond to it there, with your coterie of tea sippers. That would go with cutting and pasting to twitter, etc. I think a user account is free, here, Chris. Feel free to use it.

From a tournament perspective I love this idea. However, as we saw with the old Final Five, there seemed to be a real benefit in NCAA play if you didn't have to play 3 games the weekend prior. Maybe my perception is wrong, but it seemed teams that played 3 games at the Final Five struggled in NCAA play. I don't want to damage the NCHC team's ability to be successful at the NCAA's

I think we'd be ok. Our stripe would be horizontal, where theirs are vertical. They'd have to try awfully hard to prove a similarity (IMO)

Same here, overall we thought it was fine. We knew it wouldn't be the same experience as at the X, but the whole tournament was different, so it's not all on the venue. I'm looking forward to the future upgrades at Target Center, however. I give the NCHC credit. Will be interesting to see if they will be successful in using some of that feedback to improve the fan experience.
