  1. Good luck to Drew. He gave us 3 good years, and it seems lately that we're lucky to get that anymore. So THANKS!! It's nice to get this stuff out of the way early so us fans can end the speculation and move on. The worst are the lingering situations and the late summer surprises. We may yet get those.
  2. This will not affect the image of your degree.
  3. I don't like Kupchella offering the idea of moderating the name at this point in the process. If the University is serious and confident about challenging this in court, than don't publically make these types of comments. Wait until that is necessary.
  4. Only one thing to say.....AMEN! Oh, and I agree with everything you said. Exactly.
  5. I haven't read this whole thread yet so maybe this is a repeat. I would guess the NCAA is jumping up and down with joy right now. They just managed to squeek out of their fix. The comments they have made about "advancing the discussion" and seemingly happy that that's what they are accomplishing told me that they'd be more than happy with a moral victory if they can save face doing it. But what do I know.
  6. I would have rather seen this AFTER the NCAA had to eat their policy, but I guess I'll be happy with what we can get. I'm very happy with how strongly worded this support seems to be.
  7. Then let me introduce myself. I'm dagies, and I doubt you've seen any of my posts!
  8. That's a very impressive move by Mr. Hale. It's hard for me to imagine, with everything going on in these athlete's lives, that they would take the time to do things like that.
  9. If 10% of UND alumni request Jackson to decline his honorary doctorate degree from UND because we are offended by it, will he do so in deference to our opinion?
  10. Then it looks like I would be the "Volunteer Head Coach" of the program.

    Old Ralph

Take these seats from the old Ralph and install them in the student seating sections in the Palace. That will allow for more students to access each game, and only the ones who want to be there will show up because it won't be a cushy seat to sit in. In fact, heck, replace all those beautiful leather seats with these.

    Spirko

I got that impression too, and there was a reason why I tended to believe what he posted. That said, frankly I've seen other people with similar things in their first post who ended up NOT being accurate. What JimDahl said is quite true. In a forum situation, there's no way to prove your credibility until your information is confirmed by a source considered credible by the general populace. Once you're information proves accurate, your credibility raises substantially. In a sense you're victim of other crackpots who post similar type things with no actual information. In the end the truth will prove out. Might as well wait it out, and accept the apologies at that time. It's better than running around screaming and telling people they have to believe you.
  13. Haha. McMahon got the snot beat out of him. If I'm not mistaken Vannelli has a crooked nose now. And McMahon only gave Vannelli what he was asking for when Vannelli faced washed him like a tough guy. Too bad for Mikey McMahon asked him to back up his tough guy act. Vannelli got a little more than he bargained for. Look, Don, you can complain about the big bad Sioux all you want but your team is no better than anyone else's when it comes to cheap or rough stuff.

    Thank You

    1. Great idea about the picture in the Ralph. 2. I've heard from several sources about how much pain Prpich was playing through at the end of last season. I know Greene had hamburger for an elbow or something like that. What was Prpich playing through again?
  15. McMahon took apart a guy in Duluth a few years ago. Don't recall who the recipient was that night. Would love to see Commie's bout with Brooks again. Don't ask my why I taped over that game because I don't have a good answer for you.
  16. Excellent stuff! Great to see Prp's smile on the ice again.
  17. It was tried with Goehring his senior year, I believe. If my memory is correct he gave up the honor part way through the season because he wanted to concentrate on his game.
  18. Yes, because every morning UND has to wake up and wonder if they've got the tribal support that day. This issue is deeper than just tribal support. UND needs it proven that in the law of the United States and in the opinion of reasonable people, it's perfectly entitled to respectfully use the nickname as it is.
  19. Actually, since it stopped a bullet it couldn't have been Briggs.
  20. Hey, I'm not all stupid! As soon as my aluminum foil helmet turns off all these waves the government is sending into my head, I'll be able to finish that time machine.
  21. Buckysieve posted that Calgary tried to sign Chucko in the middle of this season. I've heard that from another direction as well, so assume there is something to that. Now the question is, how often do pro teams try and sign a player IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YEAR and why do you suppose they felt they needed to?
