Buckysieve posted that Calgary tried to sign Chucko in the middle of this season. I've heard that from another direction as well, so assume there is something to that. Now the question is, how often do pro teams try and sign a player IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YEAR and why do you suppose they felt they needed to?

I think Porter had a different role and line to play on this year than previously. Though that's my impression so I haven't really compared the seasons.

I think that CC series is right after the WJC, which means our boys will be tired again, if they play at all. Add to that the elevation....

Then there was that one time, at band camp, when we discovered Gretzky.

I thought Zajac had a fairly quiet first part of the year from what I was expecting of him, but there was something about his presence on the ice that was always comforting. He was huge at the end of the year, and was huge again in the playoffs. We really would have benefitted from him staying, IMO. He was such a smart player in all facets of the game.

Just from reading things on the internet I think Darcy plays a different game than Travis, and shouldn't be counted on to contribute in the scoring column the same way. My own impression is more like a Mike Prpich.

Right on. You make another good point to, that's about the difference between someone's rights being harmed, and someone who is offended by something. It's just not as easy as someone saying "I'm offended by that". Are they being reasonable? Is there a real reason for a person to be offended? If someone's rights are harmed, that's a lot more measurable. But being offended is a lot harder to quantify in regards to the amount of harm actually being done.
