They should have taken Finley out, why sit radke who is the teams best skating and best puckhandling defenseman (Chorney is steady and more realiable but Radke is more skilled). I like Genoway at D, he played well from the little i saw and he handles the puck with alot of poise. I only saw about 5 minutes of the game and none of the goals so I can't really comment much on the game but judging from the box score it looks like the Oshie,Porter, Watkins line struggled. Also looks like UND was the better team in the 3rd period, thats usaully a good sign heading into the next game.

What I meant was Muehler will be the best player on Team USA this year as an 18 year old. Maybe the best forward in the tournement. He has big shoes to fill and as of right now he is showing no signs of being able to fill them. You look at other top ten picks of recent years: Kovlachuck, Spezza, Stahl, Vanek, Nash, Lupul, Bouchard ,Gaborik, Heatly, DiPietro, Ovechkin, Malkin, Crosby, Pouliot. These are the players Ottawa expects him to become, not a Smaby or Greene or a Commodore. No one is on here saying we don't want Brian to become an NHL star. We are staying that we don't see that happening.

Whats your point? These three weren't good their first two years of college and they aren't even close to stars in the NHL. Is Matt Smaby in the NHL? NO Does Greene log more then 3 minutes a game? NO Does Commodore play more then 3 times a period? No Will Lee play in the AHL for atleast 2 full seasons? YES What type of player is he then if you know some much more then us?

Finally, #9 picks are supposed to become stars in the nhl. Take 2002 #9 pick Defenseman Dion Phenouf, already a star in the NHL. Take last years #8 pick Peter Muehler, averaging 2 points a game in the WHL this year.

This wasn't serious was it? How is argueably the 5th or 6th best defenseman (behind Chorney, Jones, Radke, Bina, Genoway) on the Sioux in anyway comparable to Matt Carle a proven NHL player? Lee isn't even close to either of those players you named skill wise and it isn't like he makes great decisions. I guess I would just like an interpretation. And what has lead you to believe he has progressed quite nicely? He will not be gone next year, and if he is he will have a long stint in the AHL.

You might be able to blame a one or two goal loss on the coachs anything more is on the players.

HAHA! I almost cried I was laughing so hard when I was reading this. The difference in athletic ability is amazing between D2 and D1-AA. It isn't even the same game, the speed difference is ridiculus. Top of D2 against top of D1AA is not close.

The talent isn't in place, that is the problem. They are significantly overmatched against the other wcha teams . But recruiting is the main reason for this. It will turn around when a big time recruit or two come in and more start to follow.

EXACTLY, you saw it 15 times in PRACTICE, not a game, it takes balls to try this in a game...it was hella impressive and fun to watch.........it went in the net, bottom line. and if he would have failed i highly doubt the lucia pet would have benched him, well maybe not, hrisch didnt see the ice AGAIN along with frazee (not good enough in practice according to the coach) this weekend so seems like the pet is installing some rules after last years blarneys incident

Incredible? he even admitted he fluffed the shot. If he would have shelfed it i would have been impressed. Maybe it is because I saw that shot 15 times a practice that I'm not that impressed. I'll give him credit though for having the balls to try that in a game, if he fails we probably wouldn't have seen him again that game.
