Yea and I'm sad to admit it but last years championship game should be too. Even though it might not have been as close as the score suggested, it was a good hockey game where both teams played the best they possibly could have.

Ic i just saw the tape of the game and I'd like your interpration of that 17 yard intentional grounding penalty? The Qb was roughly 10 feet out of the pocket. If that wasn't enough the ball sailed right over one of the south players heads. If your willing id like your interpretation. I wasn't at the game and I couldn't get it on tv the station doesn't come in out here so I had to wait to see it on tape from my parents who live in GF so maybe I missed somthing.

You know Mickelson why can't you just give the west some credit. They lace up the skates the same way the east players do. It's not their fault they only win one first round game at state every five years or so.

I never thought I would see the day rutgers was ranked in football let alone the top 10. If they can win out they have a decent shot at getting in to the title game. I can't believe i'm saying that. Congrats to them. The only problem is alot of top tens play each other so the winner might leapfrog them but it could happen.

I didnt see the game but i heard minot had like 20 yards of offense in the first half? If thats true i dont know how it could have been much closer. I also heard south had 100+ yards in penalties and a weak intentional grounding call? If thats true minot must have gotten most of the breaks. The reviews i got were that it was all south and it was never as close as the score shows, these are the reviews I got. If you don't agree I'm sorry.

They already rolled them by like 48 in minot. Thats how i came up with a conclusion like that. I obviosly don't follow this team or any team but losing by 48 at HOME thats not promising. I guess we will see but I will be surprised if i read in the paper that its closer then 48-0.

AAA South is going to roll in this one. The marquee game would have been Whapeton Vs. South I would have picked that to be closer. South-63 Minot-0 AA Trinity-32 over Watford-24 A This will probably not be close. Velva just has to much. Velva-35 Linton-7 Nine Man Napolean by atleast 2 touchdowns.

I might be wrong but I think John is like 6'3. I do agree with you though that good forwards are much easier to come by these days then good defensemen.

I'm beginning to think you've never seen him play. The fact that both him and Jaques lamaeroux aren't playing for the soiux is beyond me. Both of these guys ripped apart the NAHL and if they would have decided to play in the ushl (I believe Matt did play in the USHL a few years ago and did well) they would have done the same. Northern Michigan got a steal when they landed the lamaroux boy's and if they add a player like moreland to the mix they could be fairly tough. Don't say that i'm only on their band wagon because they are from gf, im on their bandwagon because they are IMHO better players then many of the recruits that UND has brought in. Moreland's line: 9GP 10G 5A 15PTs. Also I never joined the Walski over Greico debate but i would guess they were basing it on the fact that greico got torched in his first two games and maybe they wanted to see if walski would give them a better performance then that . Just my opinion.

I'm kind of curious as to who you think UND is bringing or brought in this year that would be better then him? I think it would be safe to say he would have been the banner recruit had he been able to play this year and next year should be no different.

I'm sorry I can't take credit for what was said on Brad's blog??? Not to knock greico, hes obviosly the next goalie after phil leaves but he did get torched for nine agianst Mankato over two games.yes, those were his first two college games, but you should be able to see how I think he might be a little un-proven. His record (3-0-1) 2 agianst mankato 2 against SCSU. Mankato doesn't have the fire-power they have had in the past (Backes) so letting in 9 is alittle sketchy. SCSU has a very solid first line and he shut them down which is impressive. Lets just not pack his bags for the hobey ceremony yet. All i'm saying is that if UND is going to make a run at the title Phil probably the guy.

They're should be no goalie controvery. Lamoreaux can steal games. Greico is still very unpredictable.

The point I was trying to make is that, I don't know how a ND high school football team could ever be ranked in a national poll. I have seen countless cali and flordia teams that would have a decent chance at triple digits on a average ND team. These are teams with big time players... Ive also seen countless teams on FSN or other channels with almost 10 players signed to Big time D1 programs already. And im not even scrapping the surface you have TX, OK, Neb, MI, ALA, Miss, VI, PENN, GA. I hate to knock ND sports but I just haven't seen anything that would lead me to believe they would be able to compete with the top 5 programs in these states. These are teams that just have too many big time players, with more size and speed then ND kids have ever seen. FSN has shown the St. Bonaventure and Oak christian game a few times. It is just a different game down there. Both of those teams are extremely solid.

Archive that poll and look at the current one they have I think a few things will jump out at you that may have been over looked. No offense to ND football but FSN has some Cali HS football games and it would get VERY UGLY VERY FAST. OAK Christian the #8 team in the country has a QB going to Notre Dame RB going to USC 3 other D players already signed to D1 and almost all starters will be playing Big time college football. There opponents who are unranked had a RB going to UCLA and many players playing big time college football. This poster was bafled after hearing a North Dakota high school football team was ninth in the nation after seeing these teams and others on FSN from various other states. Its good to have pride but lets be realistic.
