  1. Mankato and Quinnipiac don't usaully make the play-offs.
  2. He only has 3 goals this year, whats so effective about that? Am I the only person on here that actually watchs the games?
  3. I hate to be the downer all the time but, All that just means he scores against bad teams. Look who he has scored 4 goals against Mankato and 1 against quinnipiac. The team is 3-0 when he scores, yea because he scored all his goals agianst awful teams. The games where he has scored the Sioux have 18 goals.
  4. Who posted that you? I haven't heard anything of the sort.
  5. Did he score at all in the WCHA or NCAA tournament? The team played better with out him because he thought he should have been in the show.
  6. Yea Stafford was good against teams like Mankato or other perenially brutal teams. I mean seriously he was a no show against the top teams last year. Zajac was the real deal, no surprise he is fitting in with the big boys. I would take Vande velde over Spirko any day of the week and twice on sunday. Put Vande with the players Rasteslav played with and i think you'd see some fire works.
  7. I'm sad to say it but I don't think any sioux players will be selected at most one... something tells me the gophers will be well represented though.
  8. Toews makes everything happen, plan and simple. You can put him with almost anybody and he will still make them look good.
  9. Those Whap games could be intersting especcially in Fargo. Whap. is traditionally tougher at home.
  10. It is finnaly here... This could be the year that a team pulls of a "perfect season" and no I am not talking about Red-River or South going undefieted because frankily I couldn't care less about that. I am talking about a team running the table in reverse and pulling off the never before done 0-23 season and I think Shanley might be just bad enough to get it done. With that said there are a couple of games on shanely's schedule that terrify me, 1st When they host Kittson Central, as bad as shanely is this is a winnable game for the deacons if they can survive that one by losing their other big test will come when they host Whapeton. Whapeton is brutal on the road and this is just the type of game that can derail a "Dream Season".
  11. When did I say anything about him taking penalties? I'm just saying against any of the top teir teams he would be better off on the bench because players on teams like the Michigans the Minnesotas the Boston Colleges the Maines will feast on his poor transitioning skills (I know you see what I'm saying). If I were a gambling man I would say that in the gophers series he will have the worst +/- on the whole team. He just doesn't match up well with fast players, he isn't mobile and he can't clutch and grab like they could in the past. Couple that with the fact that he turns the puck over 80% of the time he touches it and you have a problem against good teams. I don't care what his +/- is agianst Mankato or Michigan tech or Mercyhurst. Try focusing on teams that acctually have a chance at winning something this year. You know he is a liability against those teams. If you don't believe me just wait and let Jay Barribal and Mike Carmen explain it too you when they play the sioux.
  12. Tony Hrkac game worn jersey, that or his game worn gloves. Not sure which one i like better.
  13. I'm curious as to which defensman on the sioux you wouldn't take over Finley? Please indulge me. In my opinion the Defense go in this order.... 1.Chorney (skilled and poised) 2. Radke (probably the most skilled of the defenseman, great ice vision) 3. Jones (Steady, Strong sketer) 4. Bina (Plays ice-cold very few mistakes, plays bigger than his frame) 5. Lee (loads of potential, good skills, inconsistent at times) 6. Foyt (limited veiwing, didnt make blaring mistakes when seen) 7.Finley (good size and can be physical, very weak skills, liability agianst faster or more skilled teams)
  14. Your post was worthless. Go troll somewhere else you paracite.
  15. Yea those three made me eat crow (although anyone looks good with Toews, Vande made kozek look good and Lee didn't do anything special he wasn't really a big part of either of those goals but he did play better defensivly) With that said all three played the best game i've seen them play in a while so I am off their case. Lammy made you eat crow (please do thank god greico didn't play I mean he might have pulled an Anchorage blowup and gave the game up early you never know) I've always had good things to say about Porter who ever says otherwise has minimal hockey knowledge. I agree with Vande velde being the unsung hero Kozek got a christmas because of Vande velde's presure, also he set up kozek twice and kozek just biffed. Are saying Finley is good or somthing? Seriously I want to know your opinion of Finley... You talk him up like he is the sioux's go to guy or somthing. I have never in my life seen a WCHA defensman that is that poor of passing and skating skills he didn't make a tape to tape pass to a sioux player tonight he may have made a few to the Tigers but none to the Sioux. The Gophers are sitting over their licking their chops to get after this guy. Barribal and Carmen and all of the other burners will eat him alive.
  16. What do you mean he never looked comfortable, he was square to the shot and it got tipped just like the first one. I think any talk of a goalie controversy is completly gone after tonights game.
  17. I see Vande velde getting one. I also see phil having a one goal or shutout performance.
  18. Do we need to go over this again? Fool "luapsided" once (Mankato series letting in nine in 2 games) shame on Greico, Fool "luapsided" twice (Anchorage series eight goals in less the 5 periods) shame on luapsided.
  19. My turn: Oshie Toews Duncan They should give you a couple a game Porter Vande Velde Zajac Put Vande Velde with people who can score and he can light it up. Porter is solid, Zajac is also. Miller Fabian Forney Home ice specialty, put them out against the other teams 1st unit and free up oshie, toews, duncan. Martens or Watkins or Kiap or whoever else I wouldn't dress a forth line. I'd go seven D and 3 goalies. Radke- Chorney Perfect pair to play with the first line. Two solid skaters and passers. Genoway-Lee Some offensive punch to supplement Porters line. Jones-Bina Two hard working D. Perfect to shut down opponents first unit. Foyt Just incase a D goes down.
  20. It is clear that the talent isn't in place. You would think the REA would be a great way to get recruits in but that hasn't been the case. Bring in a couple blue chip recruits and the tide turns and UND women join the men at the top. Until then don't be surprised to see some lopsided games because talent wise UND isn't close YET.
  21. Yea it was either that or they thought if Grieco played that the Sioux might get swept by a team like anchorage. Fool me once (mankato) shame on you, Fool me twice (Anchorage) Shame on Redwing77. I mean letting in 9 goals against mankato = concern, letting in 4 goals in one period to Anchorage= pack it in.
