  1. I have your wins over Kazakhstan saved on my DVR.
  2. Tier III would look like co-ed broomball.
  3. Redundant. Clearly, we need more Quinnipiac players.
  4. All I want for Christmas is …. #9.
  5. Sorry if I offended you. Yeah, I'm still mad that he called a minor penalty on the play where Geoff Paukovich broke Robbie Bina's neck. Easily 20 seconds of delayed penalty preceding that, and it should have been match penalty/reckless intent, and instead Pauk got to play the rest of the game. Some things can't be unseen, and that's one of them. Sorry for taking us off topic. I agree the Minot girl in Sioux Rube's video should have had at least one major penalty.
  6. A while back (I'm thinking 10+ years) the NCAA rules committee adopted a package of rules designed to speed up the games, which were edging up towards 3 hours. Among those were rules prohibiting anyone but the skaters starting the period (or going back to the penalty box) from going onto the ice prior to period. Similar rule applies at end of period. There were rules changes about the length of time the visitors have to send out their skaters on a stoppage of play, etc etc. These changes dropped the length of a game, as I recall, by around 25-30 minutes.
  7. Devon Levi's chances for Hobey or Richter have flown the coop. 22 goalies with better GAA.
  8. Bemidji beats MSU again, in Mankato for the sweep.
  9. Well, if this was FCS football, we could just buy our way in. But yeah, I'm optimistic.
  10. Only 7 guys have played all 19 games. If we get more stability in the lineup, I like our chances. Also, raise your hand if: -- You had Judd Caufield leading the team in plus minus at the holiday break. -- You had Jackson Blake with a 10 game point streak at the holiday break.
  11. Congrats guys! for a full 60 minutes, you played the way we all know you can. Believe.
  12. Not saying anything because I don’t want to jinx anything
  13. St Cloud almost invincible at home. on the road, pedestrian. But no, I didn’t see that score coming.
  14. Every time Blake comes on I am on the edge of my seat.
  15. Save percentage after two: over .900
  16. That’s because he faced off against the fighting Sioux. Crazy Horse and Sitting bill were optimistic too.
  17. I’m optimistic.
  18. What are the rules for supplemental discipline in NCAA playoff games? (He definitely led with his head. The context makes it even worse - Delaware down 36, is just running the ball in their own half, killing the clock without taking a knee.)
  19. I think the Transfer Portal is a symptom of recruiting failures: we're bringing in guys from Portal because we aren't winning enough of the top guys coming from NTDP and Juniors. Case in point: no freshman defensemen on the roster. I can't remember the last time that happened.
  20. I’m wondering about offside too good time for a three minute time out
  21. It might be the whiskey talking but I’m seeing 18 .
  22. Sure. He's my (maybe fictional) account of how this came out. On Sunday November 20, Matt Larson of NDSU calls his boss David Cook. He knows he's in for a **itstorm about screwing over an in-state school in the FCS playoffs, so he's desperate for a distraction. Cook helps him out with news about a NDSBoHE agenda item about NODAKS. Suggests that deflecting pressure off NDSU and onto UND is a good strategy. Matt Larson of NDSU calls Rob Port. Gives him the good news about a story lead, and asks him to throw some shade at UND. Port researches article. Takes longer than Larson and Cook would like, but it succeeds in moving the heat from NDSU to UND. PS. Like most, I would like to know about how all the Benjamins moved between the Berry's, UND, REA, and vendors.
  23. I hope this is yet another NCAA fiasco where UND getting the shaft results in a change in rules.
