  1. Gleason with the Sweet Goal. I'm skipping the Wild, and have rodents on the radio.
  2. FYI, as usual, Comcast is carrying WCHA hockey - tonight its the Mankato vs Tech game, which just dropped the puck. If you are in the Twin Cities or Minnesota, you may be able to pick it up.
  3. Gleason with ANOTHER goal ... hard slapper from the left point. I think he should turn college in the middle of the season.
  4. 1) Go to google earth 2) Search on Ralph Engelstad Arena 3) Draw a circle with radius of 400 yards. 4) There's your hub.
  5. Time to bring out an oldie - doubtless TJOshie has gotten better since 2005: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZACw1sVuPs#
  6. Gleason's season is over on Saturday at the latest. Maybe he could join the team next weekend ....
  7. Two of those were empty-netters. Except for the one (nightmare) game vs UNH, its 2 goals in 6 games.
  8. Well, now that you mention it, Michigan and Michigan State were originally WCHA teams. Plus Hockey East really improved after that interlocking schedule in the 1980's, so we can count them as WCHA schools. That makes it: WCHA 12 CCHA 1 ECAC 1 AHA 1 CHA 1 Hockey East 0 Does that look better?
  9. Even the best coaches need a couple recruiting classes. Let's give the new guy a chance.
  10. I don't see a Saturday fight as a possibility. SCSU needs all their guys on board for whoever they play in Round 1, just like UND does. However, nobody should rule out a Friday fight. Guys get their game served on Saturday, and get back in the lineup for the playoffs. Unlikely the Sioux start it, b/c of the injuries, but if SC throws down the gauntlet, I can see one of our non-suspended guys calling their bluff (Davidson, VV, Jones).
  11. Spirko, spirko. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsVzWFE3UmI I love Spirko.
  12. End of 1. no score UMD pp for 1:55 to start the period. We miss Genoway. We look a little intimidated. Actually both sides look a little intimidated, moving the puck a bit too quickly ...
  13. For UND to flip the comparison with New Hampshire, two things need to happen. First, we need to keep on winning, enough that our RPI stays ahead of them. Second, we need to flip the "Common Opponents COP" part of the PWR with NH. For that to happen, i) we need to play and beat CC, and ii) NH needs to play BC and lose to BC. If that all happens, we flip the New Hampshire comparison. (Theoretically, it might be possible for the TUC comparison to flip, but that's such a remote possibility we can count that out.)
  14. If UND and CC are both #1 seeds, then we won't get sent to CC for the West Regional. Count on it, even in the world of NCAAism. Madison is a possibility, but Albany is even more likely. (Sending Michigan to Madison for a heavyweight Big Ten matchup in front of 15000 at the Kohl would be the NCAA $$wet dream.)
  15. With a win Sunday at Duluth, UND would move up to #1 in the PWR. (Flips the Michigan comparison and we'd win the tiebreaker based on RPI.)
  16. THAT is a REAL character win for Mankato, with everything theyve been through this week. (Death of a player's dad, loss Tuesday, travel, etc).
  17. MAVS WIN IT IN OT!!!! OLE!! OLE!!OLE!!OLE!! OLE!! OLE!!
  18. Underway in Alaska. ...
  19. WOOO!!!!!!! 3-2 MAVS!!!! [rats - waved off] EDIT: Still 2-2.
  20. If the Sioux play CC in the Final Five, it would give us the opportunity to flip BOTH the comparison with CC AND the comparison with New Hampshire. Talk about your big games...
  21. FIGHT!!!FIGHT!!!FIGHT!!!FIGHT!!!FIGHT!!!FIGHT!!!FIGHT!!!FIGHT!!!FIGHT!!!FIGHT!!! SC wins 3-2. Post game "brawl". (Scuffle) Come on, give us a dozen suspensions.
  22. 4: remaining in SC. Still 3-2 huskies.
  23. Maine 3, VT 0. Doesn't affect the Sioux much, but it will help our WCHA siblings who stand #10-14 in the PWR standings.
  24. 4: into the 3rd in SC. Huskies still up 3-2. Edit: WI goal waved off on a quick whistle. 3-2, 8 minutes into the 3rd.
