I would still say same. You are eliminated from winning the tournament so there is no reason for the game. It exists for financial reasons. But I think those are minimal. Cbs clearly doesn't value it either.

Hope we can get a couple big time teams on the schedule for next season. Helps the RPI and helps in tourney prep. Maybe hit up Alford for a visit to Pauley. Those kind of games are also attractivery to recruits and for road tripping fans as well. This will be a veteran enough team that the experience outweighs the likelihood of a few more Ls on the ledger. Really need to limit the like of Mayville and Presentation moving forward.

Wonder if they look at dropping the 3rd place game. Doesn't make a lot of sense for a tournament that exists to award the autobid. Have to think the financial impact would be negligible.

The problem is we have the potential to lose twice and if that happens we drop to 14 or 15 and need Wisconsin to lose to Minnesota or Penn St.

Maybe with Rick Barry's kid at Florida the stigma of underhand free throws will go away. Points are points and if you don't have Steph Curry's form it's the easiest way to shoot them for high accuracy. I'd love to see Jones invite Barry up here and get us some more free publicity.

So looks like we need a win or tie if Wisconsin wins the Big 10. Better to leave no doubt and win tonight.

I'm a little surprised at our chances even losing both games. 89 percent us still strong. Definitely pulling for the Michigan schools in big 10 first round and the Gophers to be sole rep. Quinnipiac losing is also big. Would love to see Air Force get an at large. Two teams from Atlantic hockey and only one from the Big Ten would be a dream come true.

You're right, it was a Steve Nash led Santa Clara that beat Arizona. Mixed up a couple of the early ones. I will always remember the first one was Richmond over Syracuse because it was when I was a junior in high school and I picked it because I also hated Syracuse. That helped me win my bracket because i had UNLV Kansas and UNC in the final four that year. Unfortunately the Dukies won. A bitter pill to swallow.

I'm guessing we will be the second game of the afternoon session. The Northwestern game is big storyline and I would guess they will be on in prime time. The VCU St. Mary's game is a nice match up to start the day, so we will end up 2nd game. That will probably be the final game of the early batch so will the ending will be unopposed. Hopefully we do something that is worthy of the whole country watching.

And Arizona has done it against Coppin St.

Just want to give a salute to Weber State as a worthy adversary. We have had several great postseason matchups in our short time in the Sky and that program is no doubt the measuring stick. Having a clear target has helped make the UND program better. Hope we meet again next year in Reno and that we can still continue the series once UND is in the Summit.
