There is a reason why the Riders are in the title game for the fifth straight year...they've been there before. These Bismark kids not better be shell shocked when the lights go out during the starting lineups because I have a feeling that RR is going to come out very strong after that win against South in OT. None of these kids have the experience on Bismarck...I know all you Demon fans are going to say "Experience...what are you talking about we just won a football championship." But the thing is thats not hockey and the Alerus Center isn't the Ralph and you were'nt playing "The Home-Town Favorite", "The Hockey Dynasty", "The Cake-Eaters", "The P.i.s.s. Head Fags", whatever you want to call them, The Grand Forks Red River RoughRiders...so that leaves me to my conclusion with the Riders "upsetting" the "favorite" Bismarck High Demons 4-2 with an empty netter...oh and by the way you wont even get a consolation prize because Crary has Mr. Hockey in the bag. RR year in and year out is the best in ND hockey, that is what they mean by reload. And ND only has one division unlike MN who have A and AA.

Why ask this when you're from Grafton and you know just as much as everyone else on hear does about Demers? The kid is good but he is not good enough to play WCHA hockey, I can see him playing in the USHL for a couple of years and then going to BSU or a school like that.

It just sucks that the better team didn't win. RR was the best team this year. Their season in many peoples minds is a failure becasue they didn't win the big game. This team has competed with the best of the best. They took Roseau Minnesota's #1 to OT and lost on a fluke call. It sucks that GPR had six men on the ice and it wasn't called. You Grafton people know it too. In my mind this team will not be forgotten. You can't judge a team by one goal.

Rehak does not have D1 talent I could maybe see him playing at MSU-Bottineau. The only kids that have D1 talent come from RR or GPR this year. I was at the game last year when RR was losing to Williston and Rehak was not that noticeable comparing him to Galbreath and LaDouceur. I hope Williston does well and we could have a rematch of last years quarter finals but this year RR will dominate them and I don't see either South or Williston even giving them a good game.

Come tournament time RR won't be touched. And I have a question for HockeyHigh why do you have to be bashing RR all the time. Just because your a South fan and RR is better at hockey doesn't mean you have to be knocking them all the time. On the MinnHock website I saw you pop up and post some dumb remark on the Roseau/RR game and just laughed. Where you at that game? RR didn't choke they got robbed by a terrible call.

I can't wait for the 2nd of February when Red River takes it to Minot 11-0. I don't care if that Dillon Kraft kid got kicked off the team, one of the older leaders on the team should have said something to him before he did that. That is just classless, the Riders will show them how hockey is supposed to be played.

-Not really a fan of this last post. I'll tell you where Fargo North is, exactly where we thought they would be. Nobody was saying this team will be in the state tournament so your point is irrelevant. North really was not set up to succeed this season with only a few mentionable players. They were very young and should stand a better shot next year in the EDC. - Where is West Fargo, recovering from a three day period in which they were forced to play Grand Forks Central, Grand Forks Red River, and Grafton. That is a hellacious draw for a 4 seed to try to make the state tournament. So don't try to compare this West Fargo team to the past WF teams. There was not a lot of talent in this group but they knew how they needed to play successfully and because of an upset on day 1 were held short of the state tournament. Don't try and put GFC up on their cross for playing well when they needed to, because frankly they did not. They are going to state ahead of a number 4 seed that beat them not once, not twice, but 3 times over the course of the season, all because they lost to that team on day 1 of the region tournament at home. I really do feel bad for these kids, I've called them a weak number 4 all season, but they won every game they should have this year but 1 against Fargo North where Welk stood on his head. I think people like you need to consider the situation before comparing a program on the rise to its predecessors. -Coach of the Year in the East is an absolute joke this year. Wilson wouldn't have needed to go to practices this year for his team to be as good as they are. Richards from WF and Malm from Red River are far more deserving of this crown. -All EDC team- Is Wurden all that good or is he just a product of the system? On any other year this kid would be all-conference but I really wouldn't take Galbreath, LaDoucer, Swanson, Petersen, or Galt off the list for him. With 5 other South players there it doesn't surprise me that he didn't make it. Potential snub Chris Wateland from Wahpeton with over 25 points he deserves a lot more than All-EDC for that point total coming from Wahpeton. -Final thought- Where is the class of 2007? This year some truly great names are leaving North Dakota hockey. Just look at all EDC. The Class of 2008 is very strong with Galbreath, LaDoucer, Meland, Swanson, Powers, and Simonson just to name a few. But all EDC has no juniors on it. Let's just think Mr. Hockey 2007 pretty tough call if you ask me. Maybe McDougall from FS, or Hillman from BHS if he's still around.
