In my opinion there will never be another "ONE". The best thing about Gretzky's game was his vision of the ice. He could find an open man that you couldn't even see if you were in the broadcast booth. Crosby does have great vision too, but I think he greatly lacks the competitivness and the hate of losing that Gretzky had. Kessel deffinetly doesn't have that vision either.

I don't think Marto will have a very big impact playing for the Sioux. Great high school player but i don't thing he has what it takes to play DI hockey.

After about a month into the season, any early picks for Coach of the Year?

First off... Roper , try not to make it so obvious that you play for South. Second, I think Haas makes a good point about how other teams have two games to rack up points against wahp or shanley and South only plays each once. Another good point made by Puckhead about Wahpeton players doing nothing in the offseason to turn their program around and eliminate these embarassments. And third, I would expect North and South to have a rather intense rivalry. If these assumptions are correct, why would South pack it in after it was only 4-0. Can you imagine the Sioux being up 4-0 on the Gophers then letting up just because they have a reasonable lead, come on specifics.

All of the Sioux forwards compliment each other well and are very productive, but none are quite worthy of the Hobey.

Sad yes, but it is true. I'm sure that the Sioux are regretting not recruiting Potulny and Irmen right about now.

Please don't try and make excuses for why Central lost. They are an average team at best and West Fargo proved they were a better team by outplaying Central all night.

We'll finally find out who is the best team in the state. I am expecting South to come out on top if they can be much more disciplined than they were against North. They will not be able to afford putting Grafton on the power play. I believe Grafton has very skilled forwards who can put the puck in the net but i have serious doubts about the abilities of there defensemen. If their D can't break the puck out of the zone, their forwards won't be able to do what they do best. The depth of South could be the deciding factor in this game, along with the play of both teams' tenders.

Central tops North 3-0. Central played a fantastic defensive game.

Actually WF was up 3-0 going into the third period and were winning 4-0 before RLF scored. And didn't the only red team that matters just tie Crookston? Maybe they're ranked a little high...

Great game tonight with HM coming out on top 1-0. A great defensive game and amazing goaltending by both teams. The goalie from HM was only a sophmore and was VERY impressive.

West Fargo improves to 3-0 with another blow out win. Still think they dont deserve credit he who shoots top shelf?

Shanley may stack up well with the mid to bottom of the pack teams but they'll never come close to the trio at the top. 1. South/Grafton 3. Red River 4. West Fargo 5. North 6. Minot 7. Central 8. Williston Top seed can't be decided till they play their make up game. That should be an amazing high school hockey game and i think it will come down to who takes more penalties because both teams should have deadly powerplays with all the firepower they have.

I personally love the old green ones w/ Sioux diagonally on the front.
