McDougall was the second best player on the ice behind Jordy Christian when they played Moorhead. I don't know if Graalum should be in that category but Doeden, McDougall and Powers for sure. And wouldn't it make sense that the most skilled players on the team have the most points?

Shots were actually pretty close, 34-28, but Deicherts a sieve. Few weak goals on the initial shot and some even worse rebounds. Hell of a showing by the Riders though.

Hopefully we can finally see the real Fargo South again tomorrow night and see them get out of this slump they've fallen into.

I completely agree with you on how he should move the puck when someone has a better opportunity to score, but their whole first line has the same problem. I've seen him set up goals with some great passes but he would be even more of a threat if he used his linemates a little bit more. There's no doubt in my mind that the kid can flat out play and i think he deserves more recognition. He's one hell of a penalty killer too. Plus he's one of the best at winning faceoffs i've seen in awhile.

I think Wilson hit it right on the nose about the play of his team. I don't think either team played all that well last night. Red Rivers defensemen played a pretty good game and South's were a little shaky. McDougall isn't a physical player in the first place because he doesnt have to be with the size of the team around him. He was the only player that really stood out to me for South as he set up both of their goals and was a threat for most of the game. Wurden's an exceptional defensemen but i think he logs too much ice time and started making mistakes because he was bagged. I think South was the more talented team but worked very poorly together. Although Red River may be less talented they used each other very well to break the puck out and to set up opportunities. As I said before, neither team played as well as they could and i would expect a much better game when they play eachother at purpur on a bigger sheet of ice. All in all, it was a good win for Red River and a good lessen for South that they can't just rely on their talent to win games.

Mr. Hockey is awarded to the best SENIOR in the state. It'd be kinda tough for Demers to win it unless hes planning on graduating 2 years early.

You must sit out 90 school days from the day you change schools, so no he will not be able to play varsity hockey for Red River this year.

Red River should beat Grafton but will lose to South. South has too much talent.

I agree that Herbel is a pretty good player but his stats are misleading considering some of Bot's competition so far this year; Rivers Collegiate, Century JV, Bienfait, Central Butte, Morden.

Thats just it though, if his coach did sit him for a game he wouldn't be missed at all. He has 2 points in 8 games playing in the west. He's a weak classless player on a weak team.

Just a random thought but i've been going to the minnesota state tournament for many years now and the chants that the student sections come up with are hilarious and very entertaining. Why dont we ever see that sort of thing from student sections in ND?

Illness, suspension, and a parent said something about a school activity like RJOTC maybe?
