Been out of touch so far, what's the score and what's been happening? just kidding, i hate when people do that. Sounds like from the text messages i got at work that the Sioux have buried every chance Harvard has given them! Should give the boys some confidence and it's great to see little Toews get his first!

R-E-L-A-X This team is still finding an identity and for 2 periods they did a great job of controling the play. Things got out of whack in the 3rd but you have to remember that Wisconsin was winless and definatetly left everything on the ice to get that win. There are a million things to correct but i think we have a solid team overall. Finley will definately stabilize the defense and I like Eidsness. He's a freshmen and is gaining valuable experience with playing both games this weekend. Welcome to the WCHA, kid. Genoway is trying to do to much. We don't have an Oshie or Toews this years to carry a line (team) in the scoring dept. and think it might work out in the end by having a more balanced team. I didn't think this team would finish in the top 3 this year but this will still be a fun team to watch. You never know come tournament time and the lessons our young defense and our young goalie are learning will pay off at some point. Will it be this year....? That remains to be seen but we'll find out in a couple of months wether we have it or not. #17 is a good player!

Sioux need to get an important sweep at home and send the dirty Badgers back to Madison still winless. Go Sioux!
-
in the Cities, i only get NHL in HD. I can't believe their going to put our play-by-play team on that channel.....

P.A. will probably have that dork, Kevin Gorg, as his "hockey" guy. I think that guy is the biggest blowhard they have on as a guest. Gorg and P.A., now there's a set of eyebrows. The college hockey coverage will never be the same because the best thing about Dubay was that he was/is just a rube like everyone on this board.

last year the Sioux/Mavs game was broadcast on ch.23 on comcast cable in the Cities. can't remember what the actual station is.

You were right, AZ. still..., 74...? There are sexier numbers out there than taking a football offensive lineman number.

Friday- Hextall Saturday- Genoway Go Sioux!

SIOUX Recruits - 2008-09 Updates, Monitoring Their Junior League Play
hrkac replied to AZSIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
USA- Thanks for the heads-up. I'm going on saturday and will give some observations on some of the players. -
AZ- Is that the green beer that was spilled on you in Denver before the debacle at Pepsi.....?

Those odd numbers are given to prospects until they make the big club. If Oshie makes the team this year, look for him to wear #97. (9 in high school and of course, 7 in college.)

Did anyone check out the scrimmage from Brad Berry's camp last week? Just wondering if anyone up there could give a report. thanks

Bryan Lundbohm signs minor league deal with the Wild. Good thing he signed early to start his pro career after soph (?) season. http://ww3.startribune.com/blogs/wildblog/

Gregoire will be on one of the top two lines next year, mark it down. Kid is a stud. The other two freshmen forwards should push any one of the forwards on your 3rd and 4th lines on any given week. Might be some good competition to crack the line up which makes your team better as the year goes on. I don't know if we've had that since the days of Dean Blais where it didn't matter who you were, if you didn't work during the week, you sat on the weekend.

I agree he has some potential to become a quality college player. He seems to disappear in some games which happens to a lot of freshmen. hopefully, he'll find his way to the net more next season.

The lying and manipulation is the thing that raises an eyebrow for me. It's not the fact that he changed his mind, it's the way the family, player, and Q team orchestrated this transaction through shady actions. I wonder how the teams ahead of his pick view this b.s. when obviously they were duped. Also, I'm curious to see what the QMJL will say publicly about this situation. Blake Wheeler = Eli Manning ..? Obviously, Wheeler did not want to play for the Coyotes organization. i wonder if he pouted like Eli when he was drafted by them instead of a team like the Wings or Stars.

Top 3 TJ Oshie Moments: 3. This event happened during the course of play vs. Michigan in the Regional 2005. There was a sequence where TJ took the puck, lost the puck, and REGAINED the puck three consecutive times and made a pass while perpendicular to the ice after being tripped up. The pass went to a wide-open Travis Zajac for a goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2. 2007 on the road at Michigan Tech: Duncan gains the zone and shoots a wrister between the circles which is deflected off a stick and rolls upward into the protective net behind the goal. The puck traveled about 15-20 feet up the net....TJ calmly skates towards the end boards and cradles the puck on his fore-hand, catching the puck, as it came down from the rafters. He then swivles to his left and hands the ref the puck off his blade and gets ready for the face-off. Classic! ...., the Sioux fans in attendance give him a standing -O! 1. The effort he put forth everytime he was on the ice.
