  1. K-State was on ESPN2 last night vs. Alabama Huntsville. Huntsville was brutal. KState won 87-26. Foul trouble on our bigs killed us vs. KState but last night their guards were scoring at will. They will be an interesting team to follow as the year moves along.

  2. I'm hoping this late buy week has a positive impact on this game. I think we needed it. However, I don't know if we will get any of our injured starters back even with the buy week. Hoping the guys finish th season on a high note.

  3. This is why FCS football is great, no need to wonder once the playoffs come.

+++++ The playoffs are going to have some real good games this year and everything will be settled on the field.

  4. the fu bu stuff was tired and old when it first started. get over it.

I think I'll keep doing. Just want to stay consistent with the branding of the Summit league. Thanks for the opinion though.

  5. Has to go somewhere to see some defense...and a full venue.

Jokes aside, UND was off this week. Nothing wrong with catching a big game.

Nice try, not even close. Vince gets it, you have no idea. Thats why I laugh at your comments 99% of the time.

  6. I have an idea - STOP attending FU games.

Free tickets, two good teams. Thought it would be nice to get a look at BU, haven't seen them play in a couple years. I've now seen 3 of the best in the MVFC and there could be some interesting playoff matchups.

  7. You guys are too funny! A defense that is at best terrible and an O that when they play against cb's and safety's that are good can't score. I can hardly wait until SDSU comes in the Alerus next year.......

Me niether, they squeeked one out vs. UC-Davis at the beginning of this year. They lose a couple DT's and have a QB that is average at best. Our challenge is to improve our run defense.

Regarding our offense, struggled two out of 10 games this year and when we were completely healthy put up some nice numbers. It will be nice having a majority of that offense back next season.

  8. Second FU game I have been to this season. Both of those defenses are very good. Both qb's are average and really limit the offenses. I could see both of those teams making some noise in the playoffs. Talked to a few BU fans at the game and the one thing I didn't realize is how poor their defense was last year. It gave me hope for next season. They have had some guys step up this year and their defense as been much improved.

  9. As more than a few mentioned above shooting was not good last night. Even the open looks we got, and there were more than enough, did not go down. It was obvious that K State was returning 8 or 9 guys from last years team, the rolled in a couple very good point guards and big man after big man.

I agree with Dustin above and hopefully the poor shooting of good looks was an anomoly but when we got behind we absolutely buried ourselves with poor shot selection. When your not making the open ones, you can't expect the poor looks to go down. KState really blew it open at that point. I do think Taylor is going to be a good player for us.

  10. Faison with another genious contract he negotiated

As someone mentioned above, UND didn't have a whole lot of negotiating power when this contract was done. At the time, we were in a 5 team conference and the Big Sky and a 8 game conference schedule were on our wish list, not a reality. When scheduling we had to take what we could get. Don't let the facts get in the way of your constant complaining.

  11. FBS schools seem to be just fine playing an extra game. I'd like to see more FCS teams take that 12th game.

They seem just fine but they also don't potentially have a string of 3 or 4 playoff games starting immediately. They have 1 (2 if they play in a conference title game). Also, with the current BCS not playing a 12th game would be detrimental to a team with any nat'l championship hopes.

That being said, I really want to see UND take advantage of the opportunity to schedule a 12th game. We already have the luxery of 7 home games so going on the road for 5 wouldn't be a big deal..

  12. I think not getting a 12th game next season is a mistake. I like the idea of using it for a future home and home. I think next year there are going to be more teams who have 8 wins and be at 8-4. If a team does play 12 and loses but gets to 7 wins does 7-5 look any worse than 7-4?

I know its an extra game of wear and tear on the team but we always need to be thinking playoffs and if playing 12 games gives us a better chance at the end of the year, we have to do it.

  13. So if you are a player from western ND and need to get closer to home but are a legit DI player you aren't allowed to transfer to UND or NDSU (or Montana schools)?

Just pointing out that this rule already has its flaws and will need exceptions.

This, if Austin Dufault would have needed to transfer closer to home for the same reason's Nash did and decided to choose UND he would have been 400 miles from home or 330ish if he would have choose FU.

  14. Well, does PJ Sparks get some carries against UNC. According to Wayne Nelson Mitch Sutton's year is over with a broken collarbone.

Thanks for putting the time in Mitch. A bruising runner who always ran hard and was having a good senior season.

  15. I can't believe a decision hasn't been made on Nash yet. This isn't the NCAA's first go around with this, and with all the thing Texas Tech's basketball just went through with their coach, it should only add to granting him immediate elgibility.

  16. Didn't realize how many injuries we have. Having Brown and Lewis out in the secondary isn't good. Plus missing Andrews and Jablonski at LB won't help either.

  17. Nice. I'll go with the over on both yards and TDs, just because it feels good and I expect the seniors to step it up.

Looking forward to the game as well. Enjoy your time up here and we all look forward to a big game from the offense tomorrow.

  18. A little over 24 hrs until kickoff. After a week of sulking over last Saturday's game I am excited for tomorrow. I want to see how this team bounces back one more time. I'm excited to see one of the best QB's in all of college football come to the Alerus tomorrow. There is no doubt Sorenson will get a shot to make a NFL squad next season.

  19. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the capacity of the Fargodome is listed at 18,700. The attendance for the game was 18,066. Sounds like there would've been less than 800 open seats.

Edit: Sorry. I forgot that it is looked down upon to provide actual facts that correct people on this site. Feel free to ignore my post and believe that there were several thousand open seats.

Go look at your own fan board. Your own fans are stating that there were at least two full sections of student seats open. I know you don't want to take a UND fan's word for it so take it from your own kind. There may have been 18.066 tickets sold or given away for the game but even your own die hard fans will admit actual butts in seats was well below that. Both students and teammakers.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you weren't at the game either.
