Well that stinks. Really wish the Sioux would play all of the game and not just the last 10 minutes. They really needed tonight, glad to see it wasnt a shutout but I hope Hak and a few upperclassmen put some fire under their skates for tomorrow. World Juniors guys, I can understand. Toews you're excused..CanadiEn beer is way too much fun to pass up......but as for the rest of the Sioux...play with some heart Saturday guys and go for the split. After tonight I'm only cautiously optimistic for the rest of the season. Any word on Jordan? Here's hoping he comes back soon. As always...Go Sioux!

I have a CanadiEn shouting "Go Canada GO" in my ear as I'm reading this thread. Thanks guys for the updates and such. No hockey in Chicago (and I dont have cable)...least not where we can find. Sounds like Canada just played smarter hockey than us...I hope the US cleans up their act though with the cheap shots...we shouldn't have to play like that. Go USA! (and Canada...sigh...)

Well I don't know bout the rest of you all but I lost the audio halfway thru the third...grrrrrr Dirty Gophers. Poor play by the Sioux but a few good bounces the other way could have changed the game. Toews and that pipe...dangit. Get some rest Sioux and come back tomorrow for the win. Go Sioux!!!

Well that was awful. Im kinda glad the Chicago emergency broadcast thingy broke in and I didn't have to hear them wax on about Ralph's "Hitler parties"... This is why I don't watch the news....

The common sense wand passed over these people Hockeymom. I work in a tourist store in Chicago and I saw a local gent wearing an Illini leather coat. I struck up a conversation with him about the nickname thing and he said the same things we're saying here...D1 schools with pull are getting more favor from the NC$$ than D2 and he didn't think Illinois's appeal would be denied. And great job to the students who made the t-shirts and the folks wearing them. I saw them when I home at a football game...great message!!

A bad loss isn't the end of the world and its early in the season. This team will continue to mature and gel throughout the season. No time to get worried yet.

As a former band member who was up in the corner for those years, I'm really happy that the band has its due now and is in with the students where we belong.

Chicago. There is very little hockey talk in this town...even before the Sox won the World Series. I miss the Sioux!!
