  1. That is awsome to hear those possibilities about ISU games.
  2. Here is a link for a ticket deal for the women's games in Kearney. Buy 1 adult get a kids ticket free coupon. http://www.lopers.com/07_NCAA_Elite8/JJ_coupon.htm
  3. Was hoping maybe you could put the standings on here for some reason I can't get back in to check on my picks, I don't think i'm doing very good.
  4. It looks to me that our 1st game match up may be alot like our last 2 regional games, FGCU has no big's and must play very tight defense. Let's hope that our big can guard the perimeter and stay out of foul trouble again. If we can defend the arc and rebound we should be in good shape as they can not match our inside game. Anyone notice they have a girl from the region on the team doesn't look as if she contributes a whole lot. "If you want a high-octane clash, check out the top-ranked, unbeaten Florida Gulf Coast's (32-0) game against No. 3 North Dakota (32-3). The Eagles won the South Region crown by shrugging off defensively-sturdy Valdosta State and Delta State while North Central Region winner UND (three NCAA championships in the late 1990's) won a trio of games by 80 combined points. Both schools are on the way to Division I, adding a sense of urgency to the match. " "In its final year as a Division II institution, Florida Gulf Coast University has their sights set high. Karl Smesko's Eagles have yet to taste defeat and a hard-fought regional crown should embolden them upon entry to Kearney. Tourney MVP Katie Schrader led FCGU to a 57-44 victory over No. 4 Delta State in the final, a sweet bit of revenge as it was the Lady Statesmen who eliminated the Eagles in last year's South Regional tournament. A similarly difficult win in this term's semifinal round over Valdosta State (50-41), like DSU a Gulf South Conference team, steeled the Eagles for the battle with Delta State. These games were manna from heaven for the winners, who had minimal experience in close games this season and will certainly benefit down the line from them. In fact, other than wins over Valdosta State (51-48) and Barry (63-55), the independent Eagles had not a single regular season game decided by less than 12 points. Schrader (17.2 ppg) and Steffi Sorensen (14.7 ppg) lead a potent attack for FCGU, who also know how to score (81 ppg) and rebound (+8 rpg) as well as forcing 29 turnovers a game. Expect a heavyweight scrap between"
  5. Any info on if, when and where there will be a pregame party in Kearney.
  6. Do we know times for the games this friday?
  7. Augie women won last night, so the Sioux must win Saturday to lock up hosting the conference trny, and the regional.
  8. Sioux win and Augie lose, great night. Now we have a one game lead and simply need to care of business and win these last two which won't be easy on the road. CJ was awesome tonight with 25 pts and 10 boards.
  9. Now we get to see the benefits of the new web provider, Great video of the new recruits and it's awesome to find better video of Sioux sports weekly.
  10. Women only dropped 1 spot in the poll this week with the loss, that's good, How Missouri Western got more 1st place votes after getting beat themselves makes no sense, and the Florida school is in their last year of DII and will be DI next year. Should be a great set of games this week, I am guessing that Gene will have them ready from the get go, after a few days of practice and last weeks reality check.
  11. I did PM, but for some reason am not sure it went through, if you still have 4 for Friday please call me, 563-343-0661
  12. Me too, If anyone else may have 4 for Friday please help a brother out from down south. Iowa that is !
  13. Looks like maybe SDSU didn't beat Minnesota. Link
  14. I think #32 Kirstie looks very athletic in many of the pictures, good vertical and just looks like a strong good athlete. UNO has been in a bit of a spin having lost 3 of 4, their best players are guards, we should be able to dominate inside, they don't have the 3 pt shooters that USD had.
  15. Does not look that big too me, I hope she can play more than with her back to the basket, as we move forward there is no way 6' will cut it in the post this is the size we need at the 2 ans 3 position not the 5 or even the 4.
  16. I see on the SDSU site they were talking about the women looking for a possible NIT bid at the end of the season, is this possible with them not being through the transition. If it is then I think that could be a big boost to UND as it goes forward with recruiting for the women. This would give them something to play for at the end of the year and would be a great way to end a season. Great win Saturday, let's keep thing rolling.
  17. Any word this week from any of the Coaches weather we could expect Maffin to play this weekend.
  18. The first Sioux Sports weekly with Coach Roebuck is up, there is only 8:40 of it and cuts them off mid sentence but I am guessing that is most of it.
  19. I don't want to attack you 92/96 however the same can be said for USD on the other end of the floor. They will have to stop our 2 posts and that seems to be a problem for teams even with a couple of other decent posts, such as St Cloud. I do think we are going to have to guard alot better around the arc, as we didn't do to good a job Saturday night and have faltered there earlier in the season, however having a week of practice now will help alot. In the end I think having weeks now with only 1 game several times may help us come tournament time. It will give the coaches time to really work on some things with the girls and may help them get their legs back for a big run to Kearney.
  20. Sioux up 45-39, were shooting better.
  21. Too many turnovers and Quigley has too many with 16 pts. Great come back, it's good to see the fight.
  22. Too many turnovers and too much Quigley so far.
  23. Thanks for the update, any idea how long Maffin will be out.
