There is no reason that Sioux volleyball shouldn't be among the best as are most of the other programs at UND. There is no way that they should lose to UMC. If this was just one bad game that would be different but the season as a whole has been unacceptable. UND is better than this. Think how ugly it will be next year playing at the next level, we can't compete now.

Looking forward to the round ball starting to bounce once again, I think it's something like 76 hr's. Should be interesting to see how things will be this year, the play at point may make the difference between a great team and just another team. Last year when CJ was on we were great and when she was off many times we struggled. Our two true point guards are very young so it may take a while for them to get into a groove. We should be very strong up front and depth again should be a big benefit. Thia Winnepeg team looks like they may be a good team so we'll see how we look with less than 10 days practice, then they will have 3 weeks after that to practice until the first real games. Seems strange the men have no games until that same weekend, I'm sure those will be some tough weeks beating on each other.

When is media day scheduled, I've seen several of these in the papers for other D1 schools.

3 weeks from today the women have their first exhibition, I don't think they can start official practice till the 15th, doesn't give them much time. The first games aren't till a month after the 15th however. The Men have no exhibition games this year, what's up with that? Last year they had a couple of exhibitions against Big 10 teams. Has anyone seen the girls playing this fall? Should we expect any of the freshman to see much playing time this winter?

I can't believe I didn't put it together on the Brekke girl.

Less than a Month till tip off of the first exhibition game. Anyone seen any workouts this fall? What or who do we expect to take over the point. I hope Jossy Bergen is ready if it is her. Is everyone healthy? I see on the roster we have a juco transfer from Lake Region, Samantha Brekke, anyone know much about her, I hadn't heard anything about her before seeing her on the roster, so I assume she is a walkon. What about the NCAA going from 15 to 13 scholarships in D1 for women, this may help during the transition as more players will not get gobbled up by the big programs. However I don't think it is the right thing to do as a whole. Basketball is the only women's sport that really draws attendance and should be rewarded so.

Do we think there will be official word today on Bunnings future, sure was strange that he wasn't at the game Saturday.

I'm hoping that things go alot better today on Sioux Extra, I will be pissed if the same problems occur that happened at the 1st home game. We'll find out in just a few minutes.

I sure hope Coach Roebuck isn't having any similar thoughts, I would hope he wants to prove to all that UND can compete with most at the next level. UND women's basketball coach Gene Roebuck said he is interested in playing the Bison as soon as possible.

Just 51 days until the first exhibition game ! Spuds, I think you may be confused the girl in discussion is not a transfer, she is a local high school girl that will be signing somewhere I would guess this November. I have talked with several Coaches and players from different schools and there was much disapointment in the women's NCAA trny after having moved the games to neutral sites, at many locations the games were played in front of mostly empty arenas. This is not a great atmosphere, it contrast the NIT which UND will be eligible to play in was still played on teams home floors and the crowds were much better throughout. Which is more fun going to a Big Ten school and qualifying to play in front of a couple of thousand in a 15K seat arena or playing in front of a crowd in a sold out or close to arena which many of the NIT games were.

Finally a couple of good bits on Sioux Extra, hopefully this is just the start of better things to come after the fiasco last Thursday night.

I agree, I'll continue to give them another chance, but if it is anything like the audio link for basketball the last couple of years things don't look good for the future. We weren't paying for that audio feed so there should be a little more incentive to get this right. It was great when it was up, but in no way did I get more than a quater, if that of action.

Great video on Sioux Extra from Lenon talking about the team and the 1st game. If you haven't signed up I think you'll be missing more great stuff in the future also.

Unless Hockey is different that all other sports which I don't think it is, they wouldn't be able to sign until November of the senior year at the earliest.
