  1. Mac was making 180K until just a few weeks ago a big donor stepped up and they raised his pay to 300K. He is going to ISU at 650K plus bonus, and obviously with success he will have the opportunity to make more, since wayne morgan was making 750K. I think it was a great hire for ISU, he fits the mold much better that morgan ever did or would have in fact he is a better fit than Tim Floyd or Larry Eustachy, maybe not as good of recruiter or coach yet as Floyd oe Eustachy, but he will get there and fit in much better with Iowa State.
  2. Who is running the point, and again this maybe why there will be a need to play a zone more again next year.
  3. Who is in the starting lineup next year? Who replaces Kristi and Amy? If Kimbrough and Langen are both in the lineup a majority of the time, that maybe why a Zone is needed.
  4. What does the Coach from Concordia-StPaul have up his sleeve, what is this Quote supposed to mean. "North Dakota's playing one game for their entire season," said Fessler. "If they lose that one game, 34-0 isn't worth anything. "We'll see how they deal with that, but it will be a heck of a battle." Every team is playing a one game season now, just as his team did, and is now DONE. "If they lose 34-0 isn't worth anything" give me a break regardless, that's one heck of a good year, better than his teams year.
  5. I had the same problem, it wasn't just you. I emailed the UND athletic dept again today, this is crazy that the problems continue to occur. We need to rattle cages until this problem is fixed. Good Luck to Kelsey and all the Sioux.
  6. Man, I wish I could be there tonight, it should be a great game. If there are problems tonight with the internet broadcast I might explode. I hope the crowd can be a difference maker, let it all hang out as I am sure the girls will. Good Luck Sioux.
  7. Congrat's to the ladies, Great Job ! Now it's time to play for what all the season leads up to let's get 6 more wins and make it 38-0.
  8. Sioux down by 1 at 1/2 in the final.
  9. Can someone explain why the Men's box score has attendance listed at 3192 for saturday and the women's listed at 3099 a new Betty record. We all know that there were more there to watch the women and only a fraction of all remaining by half of the men's game, so how does it work that the number is bigger for the men's game. Great 1st season for the ladies, now it's time to play for what all NDSU has not to play for.
  10. Youngblut from Iowa is having a good year 16 points 5 rebounds and 3 steals, leads her league in scoring free throw percentage 91% and 3 ptr's,on a very good well balanced team. They are 20-1 ranked #1 in Iowa class 2A. The tournaments start next week in Iowa.
  11. I think you would see a big reaction from the school if you could sell the place out with season tickets, instead of having to sell so many single game tickets and relying on walkup sales. You do that and I am sure that they would work alot harder to find a solution to what many see as a problem. Did anyone watch the Pacific- Cal State Fullerton mens game last night that was Big West D-1 basketball and that arena was not even in the same ballpark as the Betty. Until the Betty is sold out on a season ticket basis, there is no problem, let's create a demand for the tickets!
  12. I maybe crazy, but was at the games Saturday at the Betty and saw none of the logistic problems that started this whole thread. It is a great facility and had a great atmosphere. I go to alot of games at alot of places I have been to most Big 12 and MVC schools for basketball games, and this is as good if not better than most. I don't get that everyone thinks they should be able to walk up the night of a game and buy a ticket, teams and programs that are successfull sell out their games with season ticket holders. If the Betty was sold out to season ticket holders for several seasons in a row then there would be an issue that there should be a movement for more seating. There should be a demand for tickets ahead of time not just the night of games. The crowd saturday night wasn't far off from the other games and the lines at concessions and the restrooms were not an issue, moving around the areana was not an issue. The beer was cold and the food good and the women's basketball great, I think the complaints on here are not justified and everyone needs to realize how good things realy are. A challenge to all lets see if the Betty could be sold out for the rest of the home games well before game day.
  13. That's the advantage of having depth you find the girls that are hot and go with them, not everyone is going to be on every night. As much as the coaches try to take it one game at a time there is no way that the girls weren't looking towards saturday's game. Go Sioux Saturday !
  14. You amaze me with your ability to research and find stuff, great job. That tells you axactly what most programs want out of their point guard, if she can do that she will have a great carrer at UND.
  15. Who do we all need to start getting on about the internet broadcast. It was terrible the last part of the 1st half, then was good at half and there on. This should not continue to happen every game it seems like. I have not had these problems when I try other teams broadcast's. Let's get after the powers and encourage them to get this fixed NOW !
  16. Last night Doyle was huge 18 or 19 points out of the point is great and his freethrows kept it alive down the strech when others missed some he was a rock.
  17. you are wacko no way was there 126 games of IAA football on tv, there probably were 126 DI games on not IAA. The only IAA game on with 2 AA teams playing each other was the championship. Which is the same for D2. Most sates do not have flag ships that are IAA they are DI, take Iowa for example UNI is still second fiddle to ISU and U of I It's basketball program even thougth plays DI and is successful at ocasionaly beating the other state schools, it is still not held at the same level. D2 and IAA are at virtually the same level in respect for those that realy know about the quality of players ask many of the Coaches. I have. The big dif is simply the depth of talent, which is mostly because of the # of scholarfships.
  18. Sounds like a good idea playing in a xmas trny, but i am not too high on the playing some of the teams 3 and maybe 4 times in a year, why don't we just find another trny similar to the disney preseason trny that we played in this year, this could also help later on as you would possibly play teams from other regions or at least other leagues.
  19. I'm pretty sure that # 1 and #3 play this week so the Sioux maybe able to move up if they can take care of business. After last years loss in Omaha there is something to prove Thursday night.
  20. Outstanding letter PCM, I hope he is smart enough to read between the line and see how hypocritcal he and the NC$$ are or that they need to back off.
  21. Sounds like great problems to have. Too many people at a game is a great problem to have and I'm sure that some of the issues you can be solved with the exception of the restroom issue that's never an easy one to fix. Maybe with better marketing more season tickets could be sold ahead saving people the wait to buy at the window, any where you go to games if there is a big walk up this is usually an issue, hopefully this will encourage more to buy season tickets. Could they not put portable concessions on both ends to help eliminate conjestion.
  22. I agree, I think you may see some athletes that are at UND now transfering, so that they can compete for something. I think you hit it right on the head many of the current athletes could have chosen mid lower D1 programs but came to UND to compete for a championship. If they just wanted to play for another mid majior they wouldn't have chose Grand Forks to do that.
  23. Interesting stat on the NCC site the women in the conference are 24-0 against NAIA school, I am not sure why the women can do this well and the Men have struggled against a similar NAIA schools. That's really good news about the exemption should provide some additional motivation as the conference season get going this week.
  24. I don't think going D1 is going to solve the problem here, it would only make it worse. There is NO WAY that UND should lose to Minot State or any of these DAC schools other than on a very off night. The sad thing is it seems that we seem to be having these off night on a consistant basis. Something must change and get these Men motivated. That is the Coaches job and he better start doing a better job of it or there should be changes made.
