Actually I downloaded the a capella ones months ago. I think they're great. I remember when the Varsity Bards sang the school songs at their concerts in the late 70's, early 80's and I loved it. So, finding these a capella versions was great. Although, I'm still getting used to the "Stand Up and Cheer" Uff-da version So UNDinthe NHL, what year were your versions recorded?

I believe number #12 is in reference to the game in which Cary Eades was skating by the UW bench and one of the Badgers squirted him in the face with a water bottle. Since it was in 1982 my memory fails me, but I thought he was squirted twice. The first time he ignored it but the second time led to one of the many UW-UND brawls of the early 1980's. Since there were many brawls those years I am not sure if it was the same game (water bottle game) but I remember UW fans getting involved at the UND bench and the police came in to restore order.

Remember this is the NCAA we are talking about. Could and never would happen???

Huh, 3 Democrats and 2 republican sponsors. So, you mean this isn't a one party issue!!!!! Now that that's off my chest. Go Sioux, and words I never thought would cross my lips, Go Hastert! Time to put political differences behind and contact your reps to support this.

Maybe. I have a bunch of old beta tapes that I haven't been able to view because my beta player doesn't work. Not sure if the tapes are any good sitting in a box for 20 years. There are regular season, playoffs, the 1984 3rd place game, and others (not sure what I have I didn't label things well) I tried to get a beta player but couldn't find one. ebay had one months ago for $1000. I noticed tonight they have a few for $50 or so. I may try to get one and check the quality of my tapes and to see what I actually have recorded. If the beta tapes are still good I would love to convert them to DVD and would be willing to share. However, I'm not into the DVD editing thing so I don't know if I would do it or look for someone to make the copies. I also have "newer" stuff on VHS (I think I have the 2000 game).

If someone has the UM/HC game on tape or dvd, could I get a copy? I was there in person and just listened to the Holy Cross radio broadcast. Now it would be great to see it again. Thanks my e-mail is aloha01@lycos.com
