Thanks - sorry for not paying attention - it's an unusual name and I was surprised to hear it announced
-
Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but how did Toews' brother end up at Quinnipeac?
-
Didn't mean to jump on your well-meaning post, but for most of us who lived through the Bjorkman era it went on way too long and we were one hire (Gino) from being Mankato State. We were that close to the edge - hadn't won anything for ages, and were getting used to being doormats.
-
He didn't position us for squat - he almost ruined a once proud Sioux hockey program. 65 - 113 - 4 in his last 5 years. He put us in a hole we were lucky to climb out of. I was in college during his fantastic 6 - 28 - 2 year - the Old Ralph was mostly empty. We were a Gino away from being totally irrelevant in college hockey. We lucked out when Gino brought us back.

Rube Bjorkman? I was there then.

You could just feel the mutual respect and affection that Berry and his players had for each other.

Fantastic effort from top to bottom - we came to play Love the unity on this team from coaches on down -
Glad to see two new top end recruits who want to be here and play hockey like we do. Welcome

NORTH DAKOTA vs. Northeastern // Mich vs. Notre Dame
Irish replied to AZSIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
Couldn't agree more - we have gone into many a tourney and just needed our goalie to play to his season average only to have him crap the bed. Zane for example. Poor goalie play in tournaments has been a hallmark of our title drought. -
Ok - the last wake up call for sure - things certainly are not over, but come on guys, time to get it done.
-
I must have misread - however, back to the point. How many times have we seen this from Jones. It would be laughable if it wasn't so sad.
-
By "we" I assume you mean Jones.
-
UND and its fans have an incredible tolerance for mediocrity for everything but Mens Hockey. Think of where the football program would be, for example, if Muss was canned after the Sioux Falls fiasco. Jones has had 10 years to show us what he can do. How much longer should we wait?

Big Sky Semis: #1 Weber vs #5 UND (3/11 7:35)
Irish replied to SWSiouxMN's topic in Men's Basketball
A great effort by the guys If Jones had given us this team 5 years ago I would be firmly in his camp. Instead he is now in his 10th year and gave us 4 years of the most frustrating basketball I have ever seen. Not sure if this keeps his job. Finally, Jones is either the unluckiest human alive or he couldn't coach the final two minutes to save his butt. -
For what this program is costing, we should demand better. Sure seems like we have seen the top of an Idaski season. Over and over.
-
Yes .............. A cronic problem. Heh Heh Heh
-
Couldn't agree more - I see no evidence of this happening however. The latest change from the Alerus is not turning out the lights. We need a better home - one that values us. What's more, they act like there is absolutely no pressure to make any changes.
-
I'm a big fan of Blais, but I am beginning to despise Omaha - their play is usually on the edge where chippy meets cheap and their fans are obnoxious and think they are superior without any factual basis. A real nice road sweep during gut check time.

Johnson has shown an absolute inability to control his idiot impulses. No matter what he brings to the table or face off circle it is time for him to sit.
