Absolutely the way I feel as well. Part of me thought "hey maybe getting into the Regional will put some kind of spark into the team," but I don't think it would have mattered. They Gophers dug their own grave this season. Hopefully UMD can do some damage in the tourney, it's basically a home game for them as well with all the fans and alumni they have living in the cities, they are certainly playing some inspired hockey right now. Too think 2 weeks ago they got swept in a very important series with home ice on the line and now after what they did this past weekend is pretty impressive.

Because "my" is quicker and easier to type than "section that you have bought tickets to sit in". We're in 118. I like "the section we bought tickets in" because there is a good mix of all fanbases from each team. Hope the older gentleman Sioux fan is sitting next to us again, he's always been fun to chat with about the games.

No kidding! Must have it painted in big letters in their office on the wall or something.

I think it was the '04 or '05 title game when Blaiser pulled the goalie, Brandt I wanna say?, with like 5 minutes left in the game and it was just a shooting gallery for the Sioux at the end.

If you can get Fox Sports North all the games are supposed to be televised on there again.

I am getting that impression as well, I'm not overlooking them one bit. They without a doubt have one of the best goalies and getting them on the small sheet will be to their advantage I think. I'm not quite on the Kangas bandwagon yet, yeah he has 3 wins in a row against Tech and SCSU, not exactly powerhouse teams their either. The "D" was FINALLY performing this past weekend against SCSU, if they can keep up that effort I'll feel a bit better, but it's been so inconsistant lately I'm not really holding my breath. Is it Thursday yet, I'm ready to get this Final Five started!!!!!!

Bozak was supposed to be back for the Final Five next weekend but now they were saying it might not be until Regionals. Thats what I read on the LetsgoDU blog this past week at least.

Another awesome Final 5 on tap for this year. One of my favorite weekends to be a college hockey fan! WPoS is working on a tailgate for this year again, not sure if it will happen. We'll keep people posted on here if something comes up. Good chance for opposing fans to get together for a brew or twenty.

You're thinking of St. Cloud. I think I remember the Gophers saying that each team that won the MacNaughton always ended up losing in the tourney and thought it was bad luck to celebrate with it. From what I remember at least.....

I believe that was Al Shaver. Not sure if Wally ever did the State Tourney?

I've sat in Club Level many times at the "X", it's pretty darn nice up there but I don't think you get the "fan atmosphere" up there. The lower bowl is much more exciting with all the other people around you. Alot nicer for bathrooms though, you don't have to sit and wait in line between periods for the can like you do in the lower bowl.

I think the "U" has stopped payments to the "Shepard-Gopher Officiating Help Fund." The GOphers are going to have to win it on their own this year! Besides, the way this season has been going a 5 on 3 power play for the Gophers would end in the opposing team getting a short-handed goal.

Who was the Sioux player that Ballard did that too again? Noterman or Lundbolm (sp?) I want to say?

I like Schlossmans blog because I have to get my weekly dose of Brad Miller Time! Goon runs a pretty darn solid blog too.......a little too much Gopher hatred but to each his own.

The jump-roping by Lammy was hilarious! It is fun to see the lighter side of hockey players sometimes.

I'm guessing something would have been said by no, so I'm guessing not. As a hockey fan I would say he should get an extra game, possibly more....as a Gopher fan they need him in the line-up with Fischer out.

I was watching at home and even Wooger had mentioned he was mocking the Mankato bench, possibly Jutting. But now that you mention it it does make more sense that he was mocking Anderson.

I have a hard time believing alot of those e-mails would be coming from Gopher fans. I for one love the rivalry and would never want to see UND kicked out of the league, even if UND has pretty much owned us the last few years. I can't belive Mcloed and Shep would even bring that up. I bet all the e-mails are coming from Jutting.....he's constantly complaining about something.
