I saw Andy Kollar at WalMart one time buying tube socks...

We're coming down with half a dozen guys, I think this must be the fourth or fifth year we've made the trek from MSP...See ya at Mettlers!!
-
Not on CSTV and not on my schedule for FSSN....I'm going to Mankato to check it out first hand....Go Sioux!! Go Mettlers!!
-
Sweet!!!!! The Sioux win and the Bosox are in the ALCS; if only the Twins could have picked it up a notch....
-
Saw the highlights for this game on CSTV; a lot of Irish fans were dressed up as empty seats....

Just a few thoughts after watching tonite's CSTV prouduction.... Glad to see the Sioux get off to a good start but the opening period was painful....It looked like a scrimmage of 5x3's followed by a constant stream of hooks, holds, etc. Low Flow!!! Hopefully the leagues are serious and the refs will consistently make calls so the players can adjust. The second period was much more entertaining, a lot of up and down action.... Consistency-wise, it was good to see calls made at the end of regulation and in overtime... I'm looking forward to watching more games on CSTV, although their production of the games is reminiscent of the St. Clown Technical College games on Channel 8/45. Alfond Arena reminded me a lot of the Old REA, fans were right on top of the ice and going nuts.... The Sioux PP was brutal; it seemed like no one had defensive responsibility if the puck happened to get tipped out of the zone...Maine had a couple of jail breaks short handed.... JParise played well tonite; gave up one 5x3 and the other was the funky carom off the boards behind the net... I'm excited about the freshman; heard a lot of new names all over the ice.... Oh, and the penalty shot in OT, well it doesn't get much sweeter than that... See ya tomorrow... Go Sioux!!!

Come on Harv, us western North Dakota boys got to stick together...Jason D's oldest brother....See ya at the Final Five? Go Lakers!!
-
UNDLAW (HS?), I think it was more than just a change in the frequencies because most of what I have read says that people got the signal but it was very weak/inconsistent for parts of the game....
-
So let's assume the REA/UND comes up with a way to figure out the $$$ angle and continue to meet it's initial prime objective (making enough money so the building is self sufficient, remember?) while putting more students closer to the ice. How do they go about moving the sorry suckers/non-students who have been paying big bucks all along? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a united student section in the lower bowl (including the band) but this has turned into a giant cluster.

If ND had a professional hockey team....

"Snert" is the Western North Dakota spelling. -
Interesting article Sicatoka...I say,If you are not coming to see the game than stay home!! (and let me know so I can buy your ticket )

Ok, truth be told, the $5 beers are getting old...In the old Ralph, we would sprint out at the end of the period and drink beers in the parking lot next to the truck. You knew it was a good break if you could pound two beers before running back in...the best one was a game in '99 against the Goofs; somehow we got a parking spot 15 feet from one of the doors...I swear there was at least 10 people in that Suburban pounding them down during intermission...Good times, good times! But to stay on topic....More band=more atmosphere and lets get more students in the lower bowl somehow!!!!

Here's a couple.... 1) ND Conservative Scandinavians 2) Snerts 3) Flatlanders 4) Frozen Tundra 5) Shelter Belters 6) North Stars (sounds familiar?) 7) Giant Fiascos....it really couldn't work, could it? I'm a native North Dakotan trapped in hockey wasteland (Twin Cities) so please have mercy on me!! -
Maybe some of that money could be used for skating lessons for their goon squad...

How much time? Does Delta have the ball in Sioux territory? Thanks for the update (above). Go Sioux!! Eddie Schultz can kiss my ass!!!

Score? What quarter?

Sitting in Dimaggio's last year watching the Sioux - Bison game and watching the three little Bison idiots playing pool, watching the game, and calling their buddies on cell phones every time the cows did something good. At the end, they were all down on their knees holding each others hands just before the Sioux stopped the Bison cold. I thought they were going to cry. TFF!!

It will be tough for him to plagiarize at St. Clown.....When he goes to the library, both books will likely be checked out. (and one has already been colored in)
-
I wonder what he meant by guys being in shape....
-
Was that before or after he took that puck in the head?
-
Show up after the first afternoon game and find fans from the losing team...they will be more than happy to get rid of them at that point. I saw this first hand in Providence when the Maine-iacs were sent packing by the Fytn Soo.

Anybody worried about any lingering effects of Blais' comments about the goaltending this past weekend; specifically Brandt? For a guy who gets the most out of his players (see 1997) he makes some strange decisions when talking to the media. I would have thought his comments would have been better handled "in house" rather than blasting one of his own in the paper. I'll defer to Deano on this one; he's the one with 2 National Championships, but we'll see how the team/goaltending reacts this weekend against CC. Go SIOUX!

You obviously didn't make the trip to Albany a few years ago for the FF.
