I just heard Grampa Sports on WCCO and he mentioned his "good friend" (only good, not "close personal") JP Parise with two sons who play for North Dakota. He said, "It would have been nice had they gone to the UM, but it didn't work out for Zach and uh...I think it's Brad Parise" What a tool!!

Can any of you experts/lawyers out there give me a brief overview of what Title IX really says? I understood that it recommends that men and women have similar opportunities to compete but that it does not necessarily state that it has to be one for one. The way it is enforced today is that number of scholarships and varsity sports have to be equal for men and women. Was that the true intent of this? Sorry for bringing this into the hockey forum but I think I'll get a better anwer here.

During Saturday's telecast of the Goofer game, Coach Woog referenced to the quote. He basically said Virg was not a very reliable source and had been wrong on things in the past. He referenced a substance abuse report on one of the Goofer players that Virg was totally wrong on??.. It all sounded like spin to me... Maybe the Wooger needs a hug....

Hey, I watched several games last year at Joe Senser's in Bloomington, including the Maine game that was picked up by a station out east. I believe they still have the big dish. The last time I went in there to watch, there was a group of Sioux fans watching the game. The satellite coordinates were posted on the UND Athletics web page.
