wow, a whole lot of gloom and doom on the board...may as well just pack it up before the NCAAs start...the Sioux had pretty good EFFORT last night, it just didn't translate into goals...that will happen...the Sioux found ways to win at the end of the season, so it may not have been pretty but that got them where they needed to be for the NCAAs...PP and PK need some work but a win today will go a long way to getting their focus for the big tourney...

Duluth was pretty much in the shell the whole 3rd period and it nearly cost them...neither of these teams worry me; it was just "slug it out" hockey at the end and the Dawgs played just well enough to win...Minny will likely make the NCAA but that's one team that I would not mind the Sioux playing...Christ, Kangass had the flu and he cashed in early; what if Dirk Diggler/Fred Hoiberg/Kent Patterson gets a hangnail in the NCAA's? I'm pretty sure Stevie Debus is all out of eligibility...

listened to Louie today...just another Gofer apologist and bobo...he went out of his way to question the Sioux's goaltending after only a 4-3 win on Saturday against Tech...When a caller reminded him that Eidsness only finished .00000000002 points back in the goalie race to Stalock, he and best buddy Barreiro acted like they never brought up the subject in the first place...bring back Dubay; at least he admitted when he was wrong...

Morrison was all about sour grapes that year...people streamed out of the presentation after that stupid comment...the 1997 team did come out of nowhere but the 98 and 99 squads were heavy favorites to do some major damage in the NCAAs and both fizzled...I think our special teams lately has been so-so; the boys better step it up for the playoffs...Go Sioux!!!!!!!!

So the team that was in 9th place in December will play the team that has pretty much owned 10th place all year... We are 1-1-1 against the Husky juggernaut this year but UND has definitely done a little better since December of 2008. Let's hear your predictions/comments of who will win this series. Don't really care too much about the Final Five most years; especially when the Sioux Pairwise is low enough to lock them into the NCAAs... Don't get me wrong; I enjoy the games and always go when the Sioux are there, but the last time UND and Minny met in the Final 5 Championship the Minny fans were especially obnoxious...They did beat the Sioux that night but the short-bus Gofer fans behind me apparently thought they just won a trip to the Frozen Four...I congratulated them on their team's on the big win but let them think they had just punched their ticket to the finals... I sure wish those boys could have been around when the Sioux knocked the Goofs out of the regional a week later...
