I guess the word is don't sleep on Miami...they appear to be for real. (at least compared to the teams they've had recently)

Feel lucky to have gotten a point after trailing for most of the game. However, would have been huge to finish strong and take the game to the shootout; win or lose. I'm thinking a big time effort tomorrow and a regulation win the good guys. Side note: My neice got the GWG in their sectional game on a beautiful redirect in front of the net...bad news is Minnetonka is their next opponent.

Agree…unless of course McKenna gets suspended or kicked off the team or actual prison time. I don’t think prison will happen here but you can’t let some idiot chirping you cost you your season/career.

From what I've read, the guy harassing McKenna got kicked out of the bar and decided to wait until McKenna came out to confront him.

Just saw this on GPL; guy said he got this from Twitter/Reddit. New Information: According to an affidavit of probable cause obtained from the office of Magisterial District Judge Casey McClain, officers were dispatched to Mount Nittany Medical Center on January 31 to speak with a patient being treated for injuries from the assault. Hospital staff informed police that the victim had been punched in the face and suffered fractures on both sides of his jaw that required surgery. Upon arrival, officers observed significant swelling, dried blood, and a missing tooth, and said the victim was in substantial pain and had difficulty speaking. Two friends in the room told officers that McKenna punched the victim twice on the right side of his face after an exchange of words between their group and McKenna’s group. Witnesses said the assault occurred around 8:45 p.m. in front of the Pugh Street Parking Garage and recalled seeing blood on the sidewalk afterward. They also suspected McKenna and his group had been coming from Doggie’s Pub following a hockey event after Penn State’s game at Beaver Stadium. Police reviewed State College Borough street camera footage that they say shows McKenna throwing two punches at the victim, causing him to stumble backward. Additional video reportedly captured McKenna leaving Doggie’s Pub shortly before the incident and walking eastbound on East Beaver Avenue before turning south on South Garner Street. In the footage, McKenna was observed wearing a white backwards hat, a puffer jacket, jeans, and white sneakers. Officers also photographed blood at the scene. The victim underwent surgery on February 2 to repair the jaw fractures and his jaw will be wired shut for approximately two weeks unless further medical intervention is required.

You think they can schedule practice in between court hearings?

Not a US born player, so here on a student visa. Gets into an altercation which potentially could result in a felony. What will Penn State do? What will the US government do? I feel bad for the kid; if the story is as they say most guys would have reacted exactly the same way. Unfortunately for McKenna, Penn St does not exactly have a great track record for doing the right thing. This will be scrutinized very closely...and their will very likely be a video.

How would his actions be justified? Some drunk chirps you and you break his jaw? Gotta be smarter than that. I'm smelling a huge settlement here.

So it won't be long until the video surfaces.

Matt Frattin turned his whole situation around…ultimately I believe it cost him the Hobey Baker his senior year but he was lights out that season.

The legal experts on here will have it reduced to jaywalking in a couple days.

Appeal the suspension and get it deferred to next season…then turn pro.

Penn St not a great history of dealing with problems up front...they prefer the wait and see if anybody else noticed approach.

Wow...that could potentially have a huge impact for McKenna/Penn St going forward. Would guess that PSU will issue a statement saying they will let the legal proceedings play out before considering any kind of punishment/suspension is levied. Probably be around the middle of April before any real movement.
