It's the same as when the Red Wings score their first goal (and usually only goal) of the game and throw the Octopus on the ice....and then another 40 minutes of watching paint dry.
PP did not look great but that was due to the aggressive PK by Omaha. UNO contested every pass and zone entry hard and if our guy fumbled the puck or made a weak pass the puck was quickly headed back into our own end. Not a lot of teams have the horses to be that aggressive on the kill; it will be interesting how much we see that style going forward. Also interesting to see what adjustments (if any) UND makes against that type of PK.
Kind of like when a regular season lacrosse game went long one time...Picture quality was not great, kept pixelating throughout the game...weather in Omaha a factor?
I guess I wasn't feeling the love for the Sioux nickname when our administration spoke of 'scrubbing' the name and image from the campus. It's semantics but to me that's not exactly retiring the name with dignity or honoring a proud past...still waiting for that to happen. (but I'm not holding my breath)
Interesting game for the Wild tonite in Edmonton...Parise loses a couple teeth after taking a puck in the mouth...Matt Cooke (douche) takes a pretty good knee on knee hit...couldn't have happened to a nicer guy...Charlie Coyle scores the game winning goal and it is a thing of beauty; if it's not in SportsCenters Top 10 plays of the day then ESPN doesn't know jack-squat!
