UND Fan

There is one walk-on who originally came to UND to play football. He is out of Colorado, a 6'3" wing that possibly could contribute down the line. An injury ended his FB career and he nows wants to try BB. I believe his last name is Porter. There is some not-so-good news that I will post on the UND Men's BB site.

My understanding is that the MRI was done yesterday but they were quite sure that it was an ACL problem. He should be able to get a medical redshirt this year. Apparently Brandon Brady is quite talented. It is just taking him awhile to learn the system. We may see a lot more of him as well as Armentrout.

I would assume that Groeschl simply has had a better fall camp than Grossman. Anyone know any more about this?

Anyone know the story behind Bruggeman leaving UND? I will likely now be easier to replace Maria if she has another lousy year!

At this point, it appears we will have about two full rides available. Of course, there may be other departures that will open up a scholarship or two. The guard position appears to be in very good shape - good talent and good depth! We need to find both depth and talent at the 4 and 5 positions. Obviously, at this point, they are looking at a lot of kids. Upper midwest HS possibilities include the Benter kid out of Divide County. I believe he is 6'8" with good potential. There is another 6'8" kid from Rapid City. They are keeping a close eye on a 6'10" soph or junior from Williston but I think his dad played FB at SU so they may have an inside track on him - if he is good! Area Local p

The coaches feel that, with a lot of hard work, Lehnertz may be contributor in a couple of years.

I was unable to find the depth chart on the Herald site on the internet. Does anyone know if it is there?

Any of our GF posters know if everyone showed up at camp who was expected? Any word on walk-ons or transfers that we weren't aware of?

From what I hear, the conversations with the coaches (Buning has been meeting with each of them over the last 2-3 weeks) have gone quite well from the coaches' point of view. There is no question that getting the budget in line has to be the first priority - you can't even consider DI if we can't pay the bills in DII!

Althouh I am one who dislikes all the smack that appears on this site (both by Bison and Sioux fans), I must admit this is quite unique! You must have a lot of time on your hands!
