  1. So he is the "Fighting Sioux SSSSSSCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG guy"?
  2. I don't live in the area - who is Darrin Looker and what does he do?
  3. I would bet that he is but we better wait until it is confirmed.
  4. I have created a "2012 Recruiting" page in Wiki. Let me know who else should be added. It is good to see UND being quite active with next year's recruiting. Does anyone know if there are any ND/NW MN kids that may be of DI caliber next year (other than Mollberg)?
  5. Sioux10Fan Mollberg grew up idolizing the Manke boys from Detroit Lakes for all the right reasons. All three were great athletes, but even better people, so Mollberg is a Sioux fan. He also likes the Bison, but with 6 QBS on roster that will be tough. He is going to South Dakota this weekend for a junior day. All kids dream about D1 and I heard he is going to junior days at MN, Iowa and WI. Air Force has contacted him as they run the veer, which is what DL runs in HS. (Ironically it was Tim Brewster who told Air Force about him after Brewster was let go) Mollberg has a year to make any decision, so there is no rush at this point.
  6. Sioux10Fan Joe Mollberg. Class of 2012 quarterback from Detroit Lakes High School, was offered by the Sioux last week. Mollberg will be attending junior days at SDSU, MN, UND, and Iowa in the next four weeks. ***************** You must be familiar with him - does he have any favorites, connections with any specific schools, etc? ***************** Sioux10Fan Mollberg grew up idolizing the Manke boys from Detroit Lakes for all the right reasons. 7. I asked 2-3 times yesterday (to different coaches) if all players from last fall's roster were back in school this semester. Now I understand why I didn't get an answer. I hope Murray is the only one not back!
  8. Thanks for the insight. Not surprisingly, I was hoping to hear that she might provide some immediate help but I am sure your assessment is accurate. Hopefully, she will work hard and become a real contributor down the line.
  9. I see Roehrich scored 31 last night. Who has seen her play? Will she be a major contributor next year?
  10. Is that our normal green? It looks extra light/bright.
  11. I am sure that all Sioux fans are extremely pleased to learn that you are feeling well! Hang in there - you will remain in our prayers!
  12. Why in the heck are you giving Shiloh grief? He is just wanting to stimulate conversation. If you want a poll, set one up!! Plus, your comment that the sum of "odds" must equal 1 is not fact! Don't respond with some rebuttal - there is no need to debate this! If you don't like this thread, stay away from it.
  13. Well said and I appreciate the insight. I have been wondering about her ability to play at a higher level.
  14. You aren't going to mention another aspect?
  15. I certainly hope we win. However, I hope Faison is at the game and "watching very closely".
  16. I sure like how Brekke plays - much like his dad and uncle. Works hard - makes things happen!
  17. Even if we pull this game out, what a disaster the last five minutes of regulation. Embarrassing to say the least!
  18. I agree that the five freshmen we have playing are contributing well already and I am sure pleased that we have them. However, I think they will need a lot of help for us to be fully competitive in the Big Sky and at the DI level in general. We need some size (both height and mass) to compete with many of these teams. As we saw earlier in the year, we have a tough time competing against "size" - when you combine that with a lot of outside quickness, we will have problems. Don't take the above comments as negative. I really like our new kids and I think we will compete pretty well in the Great West but we better not feel that we are ready for the Big Sky just because we finish the season strong. I realize we have one more year to prepare for the Big Sky.
  19. UND wins 90-72 - a nice win! I see that Kuehl was dimissed from the team late last week. I thought she was going to be good when she came in but the injury last year sure didn't help her development. As it didn't appear that she was going to be a contributor, this is good. It opens up another scholarship.
  20. Mathiason walked on. The coaches were going to be happy if he contributed some decent minutes by the time he was a junior/senior. and hoped that he might be a pleasant surprise. They welcomed him to join the team as "you can't teach size". I do no know if he is getting any $ now - I would guess he is getting a little help but not much. He was not highly recruited at all.
