  1. It sure would have been nice to win that thing but this sure should give the kids a lift.
  2. I agree - with the clock stopped for the first down, I think we would have had one more play.
  3. You are correct, they should be listed as Fr.
  4. The ladies won again today in straight sets. We will get an idea how we stack up to the Bison this weekend. We play Drake tomorrow and SU plays them on Sunday!
  5. Agree - that was good to see!
  6. Good kick coverage - at the 15.
  7. Thanks for the well-wishes. I hope Rutgers has a great season as well. Are you still planning to trip to ND?

    Idaho

It is time for us to predict the outcome of Thursday's game. I hate to predict a loss in the season opener but..... UND 24 Idaho 34
  9. If your comment was meant for me, I fully agree with you. Making a donation to UND (or any school or charity) is absolutely not a requirement. My point was that I am a huge "Fighting Sioux" supporter and (assuming the name is going to change) my check was a little larger for the reasons I mentioned. If other FSC members or program supporters can do the same, I think that is great! There are a lot of loyal Sioux fans who are either unable or unwilling to support the program. That is their decision!
  10. Well said!! I have been writing checks to UND for many years (for both academic and athletic purposes). I wish these checks could have been larger but I think I have done more than my fair share over the years - especially considering the fact that I haven't lived in ND since 1986. I am an adamant proponent of remaining the Fighting Sioux and have helped some of the behind the scenes work being done to attempt to save it. That being said, the check I wrote a couple of weeks ago was larger than in the past because, if FS goes away, some will donate less or not at all and there will be additional expenses in the transition away from the name. I think (and hope) that others are taking the same approach! Please do so, if you can!
  11. I understand that some may take this position but they, like your friend, are very short-sighted!
  12. I live out-of-state and have not been to the Canad Inn yet. I don't hear much about the water park. How is it doing? Does it appear to be bring people into GF, even if just for the day? Also, I have heard the rumors that the hotel might be adding new rooms. Is it doing that well that the rumor could become reality?

Yep - he is listed as a TE in the preseason write-up.

    2010 Season

Although we won't know until later this week, it appears that everyone the coaching staff expected to return this fall is doing so. Looking at some of the weights is interesting. For the veterans, I assume they use players' weights from last spring while all the newcomers are listed at their recruited weights. A few of the OL gained a some pounds (Queoff 16, Schroyer 18, McKendry and DeNeui 20). I was surprised that McGurran didn't gain some weight. Others who I expected to gain more: Kleason no change, Quesenberry -3, Nelson 8, Hoerchner 5). A couple of the bigger kids lost a few pounds (Gillson 11 to 213, Lynch 13 to 291) - probably a good thing! Overall, the OL appears to be remain undersized - but that doesn't mean that they won't get the job done! Three of redshirt linebackers made some nice gains: Andrews 18, Finley 16, Bennett 11. I would guess that the roster weights will be revised with updated info from the fall camp weigh-ins. Also interesting that Nick Long has moved from TE to WR. For a kid, 6'4", 245, he must have some speed to be moved to the outside.
  15. So you don't think we are trying to land talented big men? If so, you are quite naive!
  16. I certainly hope your assumption is correct. Grandall bled green and is a nice guy but, with our facilities, it was not overly surprising that we didn't have a great deal of success. It was time for a change but there would be no chance of hiring a talented replacement unless better facilities were on the horizon soon.o Having a good track program will also help us in FB recruiting from time-to-time as there are some athletes who wish to compete in both sports - even at the DI level.
  17. I fully agree that this board isn't as much fun as it has been in the past and that Mpls should be banned. Let's all just "ignore" him until that happens. It makes no sense to argue or debate with him - he is just trying to get under our skin (and he is quite successful in doing so).
  18. Any idea why the "edit" tab for Wiki 2010 FB Recruiting has disappeared? **************************************** 7/27 - Please disregard - it works today!
  19. That is great news! Did he give any hints regarding what they may do for NDSU athletics?

Refresh my memory - when do Sioux players report to fall camp?
  21. Thanks for posting - it sure appears we got a good one here! I am curious - how did you come across this article?
