Courtesy Vic Ames of Minnesota Preps, another six prospects and one offer has been added to Wiki. The offer is to DJ Hebert, 6'2", 185 athlete from Osseo. He also has offers from USD and SDSU.
UND has offered Austin Apodaca, a 6'2", 175 dual-threat QB from Longmont (Silver Creek), CO
This has been added to Wiki and will add other prospective recruits to the list later tonight or tomorrow.
As noted in 2012 Recruiting and Wiki, we have an offer out to a talented 6'7" kid from WI. We are also looking at a variety of other kids including four from the Cities - a 6'7" recruit from Cretin-Hall Derham is the latest to be added to the list. I don't think any of these kids that we know about are the underneith bangers that we need but I am sure we are trying to land a "big" or two.
We are also after a 7 foot junior-to-be kid from Prior Lake but he will likely go big-time.
I will echo the others insaying this was a well-thought out and well-written overview of the situaiton.
I am quite confused why Faison would be less than eager to find dates for games with USD - makes so sense. If you learn of any reason he may be giving, please let us know.
The question was about Thornton and Jenson - that discussion should not be held here.
The thread question is regarding UND and SU resuming their FB rivalry - a legitimate discussion point as it relates to UND!
I may have missed it but when is UND going to field its first men's tennis team? I assume it needs to be in place by the time we enter the BSC but are we going to get a year under our belt first?
Guys - don't ask anymore questions like this. If you are that curious, go to the Bison board and ask it there. It makes absolutely no sense to talk about NDSU athletics here!!
I would just as soon the rivalry didn't start again for 2-3 years because I want to continue to "pound the Herd". Our program is naturally a ways behind theirs right now due to the transition. After a couple more years of recruiting and our young guys maturing, we will again be more than capable of competing with and beating the Bison.
I think they have made an error on the 2013 schedule. If our game with Montana is to remain a non-conference game (I don't know why they would need to do that), then we should have eight other conference games on the schedule. Right?
It was a given that as soon as the NCAA learned that we would have a "cast of thousands" meeting with the two of them and that the meeting would be "open", they would cancel the meeting. I am a strong "Sioux" supporter but I don't blame them for doing so. They feel they are in the driver's seat in this situation because of the agreement of 2-3 years ago. They aren't going to do anything that will put themselves in an awkward position in an open meeting. We should have known that as soon as the open meeting was brought up and before everyone and their brother was invited to attend!
I heard there are supposed to be 50 MPH winds up there today slong with the snow. Is there concern that the wind (waves) are going to cause any problems?
